Description:

For sale is my Kohlenstoff Ducktail spoiler for all 991 (non GT3) models.
First 2 images are from Kohlenstoff. Rest of the images are the actual spoiler in my possession for sale.

This ducktail is super rare in the U.S., if not the only one here so far. Fitment is 100% perfect when i had it test-fitted on the OEM wing cover on my 991.1 and another 991.1 just for double checking. Never installed. It is obviously painted but it was not professionally done (by me LOL) and i completely failed at the clear coat stage.

The ducktail itself is in perfect condition, sans the dumb paint job i did myself with a runny clear coat. It originally came unpainted so you would've had to get it painted anyway. Reason for selling however is because I sold the car before I got the chance to get it repainted professionally (sold my 991.1 C2S Agate Gray Pearl last month in July).

This will fit all 991.1 and 991.2 - but 991.2 owners the choice is yours if you want to add a ducktail or not, as that's a whole other conversation that seems to spark debate on RL haha.

I purchased this directly from Kohlenstoff late last year and paid a little over $1400 including shipping from Japan and also had to wait a little over 4 months for it. Asking $1000 picked up locally in SoCal. Save yourself several hundred dollars and a 4-6 month wait.

Shipping will be considered but buyer must cover costs of shipping AND insurance. This is a rare piece and I would really hate to deal with the hassle of a chipped corner or something cracking during shipping and both parties being disappointed.

Sorry for sounding dumb but how exactly does it mount? does it bolt or adhere to the oem rear decklid or does it replace the oem deck lid like the Moshammer 991 Carrera Ducktail Evo (which states: Install by using the original screw points and clips.)

hey there,
no worries. this ducktail attaches directly over the oem decklid using double sided tape (and silicon recommended). Fitment is 100% perfect and aligns the size/shape/curve of the oem decklid with zero gaps or inconsistencies.

There are no hardware needed to drill into any oem component.

and much like the oem ducktail, you will need to have the active spoiler function disabled after installation.

Whats the debate about installing on a 991.2?

This will fit all 991.1 and 991.2 - but 991.2 owners the choice is yours if you want to add a ducktail or not, as that's a whole other conversation that seems to spark debate on RL haha.

It’s not much of a debate honestly. The intercooler inlets are fed by opening the rear spoiler. If the spoiler isn’t designed to open and feed air into the inlet, then your intercoolers don’t get airflow.

I'd say that not worth testing: thank you
