I have owned the car for 3 yrs. I have 3 Porsches, I am selling this car to make room for a new car.
The 1999/and early 2000 996 C2 models are unique because they came equipped with amber headlights - side markers - taillights, a more robust dual row IMS Bearing, & a throttle cable vs drive by wire electronic throttle. The driving experience is analog vs modern Porsches where the computer controls the driving experience.

Thank you 168glhs1986 for liking my car. The original amber lights come with the car, I just preferred the clears.
I purchased the car as a project during COVID. I went from front to back with the aim of replacing anything that was worn or broken and learning about the 996. I am an engineer and I enjoy learning how things work and fixing things that are broken. It was my first 911, and I have loved working on it and driving it.
I am selling the car because I promised my wife I would sell this 996 if she would let me buy a new M3 6MT. I have 2 other Porsches and an Audi, and not enough room for 5 cars.
Find911 The car is still for sale. Below is a link to the carfax:

I also have the car listed on AutoTrader as a private sale. Autotrader purchased a company called TRED, and renamed it Private Seller Exchange. They work as an intermediary to take care of the paperwork and act as escrow. You can purchase the car through Autotrader and they will take car of the details, they can even arrange shipping. I purchased my 991 this way and it worked great. Link to add below:

11EARL The car is very tight. I noticed a couple of times when driving fast combined with a strong cross wind sometimes you can hear a little air bypassing the driver's door gasket. I think there may be a slight rattle in the roof area if you hit some large bumps. I suggest watching the driving video, you should be able to hear any noises that may be coming from the car. I forgot to mention in my listing I also replaced the vanity mirrors which eventually break on these cars, and I replaced a worn bit of trim on the back of the E-brake when I had it re-covered.
When I purchased the car the exhaust rattled. I replaced a broken bracket and the two clamps which hold on the exhaust tips. You can see in the start-up video that the exhaust does not rattle.
Thank you for looking at my listing.

I have checked the headliner support rod. It is in place as it should be. It is a slight rattle you hear when hitting a large bump with the sunroof closed. I suspect most of these cars have some small rattle somewhere. There may be need for a felt pad or something somewhere in the sunroof. Since I do not normally hear it and did not want to pull down the headliner to investigate, I left it alone. I just searched the forums for sunroof rattle, it looks like mine is pretty mild compared to what other owners have experienced. I'm sorry I do not have any additional detail.

I forgot to mention that I refurbished the HVAC ventilation doors behind the stereo and at the heater core. Black foam had started coming out of the cars air vents. I've read that 996's and 997's use a foam material on the ventilation doors which degrades over time and starts coming out of the vents. It also impacts the cars ability to divert the flow of air to the windshield for defogging/defrosting. The new owner of this car will not need to worry about that common issue.
I have also replaced the cabin air filter, engine air filter, and fuel filter.
Thank you for the suggestion.
Unfortunately the hollow spoke wheels were gone when I purchased the car. I was able to locate Turbo Look wheels which I had powder coated Porsche Silver and installed new OEM center caps. This is a very early build 5/98.
