After 5 years of ownership I am putting my fully maintained 928 S4 for sale.  Well taken care of by the 3 prior owners and not trashed or mistreated as so many 928s are.  Interior is nearly new with a normal amount of bolster wear.  The exterior is in excellent condition as evidenced not only by the paint but importantly by the condition of the plastic trim that exposes weathering more than anything else. 

In order to make it the reliable Autobahn stormer that it should be, I have performed the following maintenance (not an all-inclusive list):

• Complete timing belt and water pump service, including idlers.  6/18 - 80K miles
• Evaporator cleaning, coolant change and coolant pressure sensing switch - 6/18
• Oil pan silicone seal and stud kit. NO more leaks - 6/18
• Preventative ventilation box re-seal using fresh 3M butyl caulk strips - 6/18
• Belt tensioner: new washer pack and sealing:  NO leaks - 6/18
• Distributor caps and rotors - 6/18
• Coolant reservoir float (NO false low coolant warning) - 7/18
• New LCD cabin clock - 7/18
• New LH computer rebuilt by JDS Porsche - 8/18
• All AC/ventilation vacuum actuators fixed - 9/18
• Alternator cooling air intake - 9/18
• Removal of ventilation box and reasealing to the bulkhead with 3M butyl caulk strips - 9/18
• Original Blaupunkt Reno SQR46 and optional Amp repaired and external input added - 9/18
• Rear defog relay fixed (NO more depleted battery due to this common problem) - 9/18
• Timing belt retension at 81,499 miles - 9/18
• New Bosch fuel pump and fuel filter - 10/18
• Right bank ignition coil replaced - 10/18
• Intake system refresh including: 12/18
  • Refinish of intake manifold and cam covers. 
  • All fuel hoses replaced 
  • Fuel pressure regulator and dampers replaced
  • 8 new Bosch fuel injectors
  • Both knock sensors replaced
  • Hall sensor replaced
  • All vacuum hoses in that area replaced.
  • Flappy valve cleaned and checked good.
  • Crank position sensor replaced.
  • New spark plugs
  • New thermostat
  • Throttle body serviced, including new bearings.
• Camshaft tensioner pads replaced 12/18
• Engine mounts replaced 12/18
• New Beru ignition wires 12/18
• ATF fluid change 6/19
• Brake fluid change 6/19
• Bulb Monitor module replaced 6/19
• All washer hoses and connectors replaced.  It *all* works as it should - 11/19
• Driver's door handle internal break (can't open door) fixed - 12/19
• New battery and ground strap - 10/20
• Oils and filter changed yearly (Valvoline VR1 20W-50)
• Last antifreeze change on 11/22 with PENTOFROST NF

Crank play is at .007" which is on the lowest end of the factory spec of .007" to .016".
The exterior finish is in excellent condition and protected by a ceramic coat following a complete detail.  This makes it a simple task to keep it looking in like-new condition with a simple wash.  The only paint defects are two scratches on the front left fender and one on the roof as seen in the photos.

The 'mancover' wheels remain with the factory anodizing and have that characteristic glow.

The AC blows super-cold as seen in the Seek Thermal photo.  For the first time, I did have to fill it with perhaps 6 or 8 ounces of refrigerant (R-12) after bringing it out of storage this spring but has been cooling well since then.  

There is no deferred maintenance on this car and a great starting point for someone to get into these wonderful cars with a very low likelihood of facing immediate headaches and PITAs.
