Owned since July 2020, this is my 4th of 5 Porsches (thus far). Enthusiast owned throughout its life, this 2006 Carrera S spent time in the Northeast, a several year stint in Germany (2nd owner was in the military), then California, then outside Chicago (rarely driven), and now in the Southeast in Charleston, South Carolina. Thoughtfully upgraded for a sportier and more direct driving experience, this served reliably and fulfilling-ly as my daily driver for over 2 years now. To answer the inevitable question, the only reason I am selling is I was fortunate enough to find a 2007 GT3 to replace it. With a GT3 always serving as “true north” in the back of my mind, I carefully chose upgrades for the Carrera to inject a slightly more raw and direct feel, while preserving its daily civility. The LWFW allows for effortless rev matches, the Bilsteins offer confidence in the corners, and the FUNCTION-FIRST shifting upgrades make the gear lever feel like an extension of your arm. Every drive is a special experience, and I’m confident the next owner will love it as much as I still do.
