The 930 Turbo is an iconic model for Porsche and was the poster child of the brand's identity while it was in production. The 1989 model, in our opinion, is one of the most sought-after and the nicest example to drive by a notable margin. 1989 saw the final year of production for the 930 and was the only year in which the car was fitted with a 5-Speed G50 gearbox. The notable upgrade with the G50 and the standard gearset that was implemented with the 5-Speed makes for a more engaging and spirited drive than previous years.
This particular '89 is a stunning Euro delivery, finished in Slate Gray Metallic over a Black leather interior. This wholly stock configuration 930 presents in original condition with outstanding original paint and has traveled just 65,000 kilometers (40,300 miles) since it was new. This car is mechanically outstanding and presents in fully sorted, turn-key condition. Showing The car starts effortlessly both cold and hot, makes excellent boost, and its G50 gearbox shifts beautifully with tight and sorted linkage. The powertrain is dry with no oil leaks, and the car is an all-around pleasure to be in and drive.
This 930 was nicely optioned from the Factory as follows:
This stunning Porsche presents an opportunity to own a swan song example of the 930. The 1989 model year was an unbelievable year for the car and represented the best of the best from its 14-year production.
Love this car and tried to buy it. Fell out of my chair when I heard the asking price. These cars, this year, and this condition have reached the moon officially. I bought a 31k mile 964 C2 instead while I continue my search for my perfect air cooled turbo. It will either be a 5sp 89 or a 964 3.3 for me.
With places like BAT why would anyone need to consign with places like CPR? Sadly many have fallen to being a victim to places like CPR. Jail time and restitution is in order!
