Description:

I am looking for a new home for my very rare early bird 996, this car was built in February 18th 1998 and delivered to the original owner on April 22nd 1998. This is a rare car because between 1997 and 1998 there were less than 8 thousand cars built. They were built differently that the later cars, they had a dual row IMS that are way more reliable and they had a true throttle cable and not a fly by wire system and they have nannies and they have hydraulic steering it’s the closet you can get to an air cooled car.

I wanted to look as perfect as I can, so I went through and replaced all the trim pieces that were showing their age. The car was ordered with granite grey trim which looks amazing in person and it’s much more durable than the rubberized black trim. I also was told that the same material was used in some Rolls Royce cars. The car was ordered with full leather seats front and back and the back of the seats are full leather as well. The dash and the door panels and the visors and front and rear panels are all vinyl. The front seats were in amazing condition, but had some wear so I went through and moisturized them, and I also ordered the correct dye and re dyed them they look amazing now. The shift boot was pretty worn out so I ordered a brand new one from Porsche. I car came with the black tach pack it looks amazing with the granite grey surround. I also removed all the surface scratches off the Tach clear cover. I went through and
replaced the A/C control screen with a new one the old one was fading out. I also have a brand-new mat set that was purchased directly from Porsche and it’s never been used it still in the package. I also installed a very rare Parrot Asteroid Classic head unit that looks amazing and is a single din, but has a lot of apps and can connect to your device through Bluetooth or cable. I have also had a Compustar ProT13 alarm system installed with a paging system and a tilt and shock sensor which was over 1k alone. All 6 speakers were replaced with Infinity Reference and it sounds a lot better than the original speakers. I have also installed a Rennline phone mount which is nice to hold your phone. I upgrade all the interior lights to LED’s they look way nicer than halogen bulbs. I have installed the Rennline Pedal set with the heel toe extension it’s so nice to heel toe with ease. I have installed a Numeric Racing Shifter and upgrade cables, if you never driven a car with a Numeric shifter it’s night and day compared to stock.

So, for the fun part of the build, it has a full Cargraphic exhaust that sounds amazing its not to loud and has no drone very easy to drive daily or long trips. The water pump was replaced the air oil separator was replaced the clutch was replaced and while that was done the IMS was replaced with a new daul row bearing. I also had the drive belt replaced less than a year ago along with a brand-new battery and the motor mounts have been replaced within the last two years. The entire suspension has been replaced less than 6 months ago, the struts are Bilstein B8 with h&r lowring springs. I replaced the 4 lower control arms and the 4 diagonal fork arms with Meyle which a very high-quality replacement is that restores the tightness to the handling and gives new ball joint ends to eliminate any of the common 986/996 clunking issues. I replaced the Steering Tie Rod and steering tie rod ends with TSW. The front

upper struts shock mounts have been upgraded to Lemforder. The car handles and drives better than it did when it was brand new and there is no noise from the suspension at all. The car has had full
alignment done from Forza and is all dialed in. I also upgrade the brake lines to Goodridge stainless steel break lines. The brakes feel so much smooth and grab a lot faster than with original brake lines. The rotors and pads are still in great condition and will not have to be serviced for some time. I have installed the LN Engineering spin off filter for easier filter changes. I change the oil every 3500 miles and every other oil change I have Blackstone done to make sure there is not issues with bore scoring or IMS issues, every time I get the oil change done they always say it crystal clear and they also look over thecar completely. This car mechanically perfect I drive it every day it’s my only vehicle.

I have a lot more that has been done with it, but it’s too much to list. I am a motivated seller, I need a more practical car so I am open to all trades so please let me know what you have. I am also open to trading for luxury timepieces of equal market value. My cash price for the car is $25,000 Firm Please let me know if you have any questions.

Default Porsche

Hello. My name is Mike. I am located in Dewey, AZ. I see you’re in Phoenix. I am very interested in potentially purchasing. Your attention to detail is impeccable. It looks amazing. I am only wondering, is there a reason for selling? It looks like you’ve put a lot into the car to then sell it. It leaves me a little weary.

Is that bird poop on the hood or some sort of paint damage?

Do you have any start-up or driving videos? Ay photos of the undercarriage, specifically the Cargraphic exhaust?

The car is mechanically perfect, the only draw back is the paint. I have invested a lot of money mechanically and in the interior. I can tell you all about it if you want to call me or text me. You can PM me with your number and I will contact you.

Unfortunately no photos of the under carriage, but if you want to provide me with your number I would be happy to send you videos of me driving and how the exhaust sounds. Just PM me your number and we can go from there.
