I am reluctantly offering my recently acquired 2016 DeMan Motorsports 4.5L GT4. This car is the cat's *** and has ALL of the goodies:
Full DMS 4.5L conversion
Shortened 2-5 gears
Strengthened LSD
Lightweight flywheel and strengthened clutch
X-Pipe & Catted headers
Cobb AP programming unit
Prewired for radar detector, in car camera and Cobb unit
RSNV rear wing extenders
Full front-end clear bra
This build was completed in Feb 2022 when the car had 12.6K miles on it at a cost of $56K (invoice included with purchase). I bought the car in early March 2022. The car currently has 14.4K miles on it and I have never tracked it.
Factory options include the following:
Red with black alcantera interior
Full leather package with red deviated stitching
Bi-Xenon headlights
2 way heated seats with red stitching
Red seat belts
Brushed aluminum door trim and dash trim
This car needs absolutely nothing. It is a complete joy to drive and I am only selling it because I have too many cars and won't track this car. If I send it to my second home, I know I won't drive it. In fact, it will be parked next to my AMG GTR that I haven't driven since April (also for sale!).
This car has never seen rain during my ownership, never been smoked in, never been abused. No accident history, no paint work, no dents, no curbed wheels. no interior flaws, no flaws to the glass. The only arguable issue with the car is that the airbag warning light is on in the center gauge, due to the battery being disconnected while the original seats were removed and then reinstalled. The new owner can simply have any independent shop or dealer clear the code the next time the oil is changed or they can do it themselves if they have access to a hammer to plug into the DME port.
The car is located in So Cal and comes with a clean title, both factory keys, all factory manuals, a factory car cover and a case of Boostane thrown in since I'm an all around good guy! This is my 40th Porsche owned. I am an open book seller who is happy to answer any questions with any seriously interested parties. Note that I don't want to consign the car, take trades or deal with any Nigerian Prince scam bull****. Not my first rodeo!
I offer this car without reservation and I am certain the next owner with be thrilled with this car - especially if they are going to track it. I have owned 997.1 GT3RS's, 997.2 GT3RS's and a 991.1GT3 and this little beast will easily pull on all of them. Best regards to all!
Have you tested if this will pass Smog to a CA buyer? Required to Smog before registration and there's "funny" stuff with tunes now in CA.
It's possible. Stock cats need to be swapped on (in the event a visual inspection is carried out, you want the cats with the CARB number on them); COBB needs to either be uninstalled (i.e. to get the stock map back on the ECU), or a COBB stage 1 map with CARB EO approval needs to be flashed; then it's just a matter of running drive cycles / short tests on a PIWIS. So it's doable, just a fair amount of work.

that sounds like a pain for anyone that lives in a state with regular emissions testing

Only if you live in a place like CA that checks the physical cats for CARB compliance. Here in NY they just check OBD readiness, not the cats, so as long as the cat and O2 monitors are good, aftermarket cats are fine (negating the need to install stock). Otherwise, it’s just a matter of flashing to an emissions friendly tune and setting the monitors.
The Cobb Tuning was done by Rick and I think he actually was very integrally involved in developing the map for the 4.5L conversion.
I am nowhere near brave enough to monkey around with the tuning maps. In fact, the first time I took the programmer out of the box was to take pics of it the other day!

Are you running the car on 91 or boosting the octane up?
