I recently bought this to replace the aerokit wing on my 997.1 but I'm having second thoughts, I'm starting to warm up to the aerokit wing so I think I'll just leave it. This is a high quality Sport Ducktail from Getty with the OEM 3rd brake light delete panel, painted in Arctic Silver. It includes the wire harness as well as the wing mounted 3rd brake light. This was professionally painted and fitted to a 2009 Carrera S and should bolt right on to any 997. The cost for the wing, paint, harness etc was over $3k...if you happen to own an Arctic Silver 997 this will save you a lot of money and time.

Is this ducktail for a 997.1 or .2? (You said you bought it for a .1 but had it prepared for a .2 . I am interested but have a .2 and I understand they are not the same. Please clarify, don't want to commit and then find out it won't fit.
I bought it from someone that had it on their 997.2, and was going to install it on my 997.1. The only difference is the .2 has two cutouts for the intake and the .1 only has a single cutout. This one already has the second cutout since it was installed on a .2 (as you can see by the tail lights in the pictures). At least that's my understanding. In any case, this did come from a 997.2 so it will fit your car.
I just confirmed with Getty that the only difference between the 997.1 vs 997.2 is the number of openings for the air intake. The ducktail itself is identical. I've added a picture of the underside to clarify.
Do you know how much it would be to ship this item to NC
Shipping is an issue. I have a lot of non-local people interested but getting this thing boxed up is a pain, just finding a box that's suitable isn't easy.
I have someone local that is supposed to pick it up this week.
