Description:
The time has come to sell my beloved 911. Every man thinks when their child comes they will get to keep their sports car but we are always wrong. This car has been a passion project since the day I bought it as it was my very first Porsche. Over time as I learned more about these cars and their weaknesses and strengths I worked to improve the reliability and drivability of the car. Using as many OEM Porsche components and high quality and tested Motorsport parts we have what this car is today. The car is my take on a modern Carrera T in the 996 generation. An emphasis on driving involvement and lightness. The car was optioned well from the factory with the full leather dash and doors which really improve the interior of the 996. The car has the following modifications and passes Colorado emissions without issue:
-996 GT3 factory coil overs
-Tarrett Engineering Adjustable Camber Plates
-New control arms w/ solid RSS caster pucks
-Eibach Adjustable Sway Bars
-Tarrett Engineering Adjustable Sway Bar Links
-Heim Jointed control arms for every arm
-997 GT3 Brakes Master Cylinder (crazy transformation)
-Odyssey PC680 lightweight battery
-997 GT3 RS Shifter (15% shorter and aluminum bushings)
-GBOX 2nd gear detent
-996 GT3 Replica Bucket Seats
-Schroth 6 point Harnesses
-Brey Krause Harness Bar (bolt in, reversible)
-996 GT3 center console delete w/ radio delete shelf
-Schnell Long Tube Headers
-FVD Brombacher Catless X-Pipe (w/ O2 extenders)
-Afterhours mufflers (less aggressive version)
-Evolution Motorsports Tune (293whp Dyno Pros Denver)
-RSS Under drive pulley
-997 air box (performance and aesthetics)
-Porsche X51 package Baffled Oil Pan
-LN Engineering IMS Replacement Bearing 106-08.2.2
-996 Cup Momo Mod .07 Steering Wheel
-LNE Spin on oil filter adapter (improved filtration)
-997 GT3 Brake Cooling Ducts
-Stomski Racing Bump Steer Kit
-Sachs Racings Clutch Kit w/ Aasco Aluminum Flywheel
-Acer Titanium Lug Bolts w/ T80 Tool
The following maintenance has been done:
-All fluids changes including manual trans (Porsche MTF)
-New Sebro Slotted Rotors w/ Hawk HT-10 Pads
-Water pump and low temp thermostat
-Porsche Air Oil Separator
-Porsche Rear Main Seal
-BMC high flow air filter
-Serpentine belt and all rollers
-Beru Spark Plugs and 997 Ignition Coils (New Design)
-Coolant Expansion Tank
-Window regulator
-Ignition Switch
-New hood and trunk struts
Possibly more, if I learned it could fail I replaced it. I also scoped the cylinders when I replaced the plugs and found signs of any scoring. This was performed at ~62,000 miles.
The car is corner balanced and aligned and truly drives as close to a GT car as possible without paying GT prices. The engine revs and sounds like a Motorsport product with the exhaust and lightweight flywheel. The car is extremely direct and responsive to inputs. It runs 1:58s at High Plains which anyone will tell you is stock GT4 territory. This is a turn key car that needs absolutely nothing. You could drive every single day to work, take it to a track day, tear up a mountain road or pick up groceries in it.
I also have the original 5 spoke BBS MY02s if the buyer is interested.
Feel free to contact me with questions or to set up a time to view it, this car will not disappoint you. And now is the time, as 996s are only going to continue their rise in value.
Thank you for reading
