Ohlin Road & Track Shocks with Tarett Mono-ball hats
For SaleSteering/Suspension
Description:
Up for grabs is a set of Ohlins that I thought would be put to good use on the track but alas, the track days in the 6-3 never happened. I put about 10k canyon/street miles on them after they came off another 6-3 (belonged to Mark Kinninger at Black Forest Porsche here in San Dawg) that saw probably 3 track days and ~10k miles on 'em.
Shocks performed as designed and killed the braking nose-dive I had on the 120k mile stock set. I chased what I thought was a rear spring creak that turned out to be the damned rear toe link chassis attach boot was split and the monoball was binding due to corrosion.
Shock valves perform to spec/no leaks nor gouged piston shafts (although one boot went missing somewhere between my lift and the box...arrrgh!). I wouldn't hesitate tracking these tomorrow but a bit much for street travels that only momentarily puts these to good use.
I ended up sending my stock setup to Glenn in LA for refurb and don't see getting these back into service so they're up for grabs.
Includes Tarett mono-ball hats for fronts and rears (excellent shape- no ball slop) plus drop link attach points. Setup would cost $4,500 to replicate so how about $2,400 shipped Anywhere, USA?
Cheers-
~John
Excellent pricing for a great product.
hope you close the deal succesfully.
I'm going to be a dork and add on to your post.
I have two brand new 996 GT3 OEM front drop links from FVD available to your buyer.
$50.00 + shipping from 92084.
They are the items on the far left.
Only realistic time to install these is when changing dampers which is why I still have them.
