Porsche GT2 2001 - 2005
Description:

Up for sale is a used factory original complete decklid from a 996 GT2. It’s silver in color and is in near perfect condition with the exception of some paint scuffs from being stored and moved around. It looks like the label with the part number has been masked off in the past so the paint on the decklid is not original and I do know know for sure if it’s been repainted from a different color (as I removed it from a 996 turbo) or if it was simply purchased new in factory primer and color matched to the car it came from. Very rare item and long discontinued and sold out from Porsche. I would really love to do a local sale and not ship this thing and would even consider traveling within 100-150 mile radius, however, this is a big country so I am not opposed to shipping at the buyers expense with insurance. MSRP on a complete decklid like this is over 13k but is no longer available. I’m asking 7500 and will consider all reasonable offers and/or potentially trades for  996GT3 or 997TT parts. Feel free to call or text me at 267-266-9986.

Thanks,
Gene

That’s the same reason I’m selling it; no car to use it on. When I bought this thing a few years ago, it was more of an emotional purchase as I had already moved on from a 996TT to a 997TT but figured I’ll get another 996 someday because something about that itch the 997 cant scratch.

Fast forward to todays post Covid market I realize that even a nice 996tt 6spd coupe is out of reach for me let alone a 997tt or any GT2 for that matter😂. Therefore this GT2 lid is likely to decorate my basement for years to come unless someone here snatches it up!

I’m open to reasonable offers but keep
in mind I’m also (they say&#128580 a hoarder and don’t mind letting it marinate for a few more years until this inflation curve flattens out a bit 😂. Fortunately I bought my 997 at the low end of the market (2018) and will likely never sell it!

For real? This thing is worth every bit of the $7500 ask. Unobtainable.

I guess we all win as I’ve been doing high end paint and collision work for the last 15 years so Id be happy to give you the full service. I’ll do 5k for the deck lid and 2500 for paint since that’s what you value the paintwork at and this way you get a discount on the part aaand you get it painted for a “reasonable” price all in one shot.

With that being said, what color would you like to have it in?
