95,600 miles, outstanding mechanical condition
Most of the below is documented on Rennlist (search for posts by RicardoD) and in a red binder I keep to document all part orders and any other service work.
72k mile engine out reseal service list:
- Original Bosch Alternator rebuilt
- New alternator, air-con, and engine fan belts
- Engine fan bearing replaced
- Magnesium engine fan cleaned and painted silver
- Rebuilt dual distributor (new belt, new distributor shaft seal, greased)
- New distributor caps & rotors
- New spark plugs installed
- New spark plug wires installed
- Fuel injectors removed, and rebuilt by Witchhunter performance
- Power steering pump rebuilt with new seals
- All new gaskets O-rings around power steering pump housing
- New oil temp sender and oil pressure gaskets installed
- New chain tensioner and oil bridge gaskets installed
- Distributor vent kit installed
- New Bosch ignition coils
- All engine tin powder coated
- Valve adjustment & gaskets
- New lower CNC billet aluminum valve covers
- All cam housing gaskets, and o-rings replaced
- Complete brake system and clutch fluid flush
- Front and rear brake lines replaced (always do this for safety if you have no history of it on an old car).

- I bought a used Porsche air compressor to complete what should be in the front trunk.
- Replaced all the bulbs throughout the car that were neglected (license plate, new silverstar halogen headlights).
- I had a mobile Porsche mechanic help me with the final Cam Timing (and he taught me the tricks of the trade to do it right).
- CCU unit removal and cleaning to air sensing port and thermister
- CCU air sensing fan replacement and repair
- New Sears Die Hard battery - June 2016
- New oxygen sensor (July 2014)
- Center console conversion to LED (ToreB kit) - March 2016
- Ignition switch replaced (wasn’t springing back) - June 2017
- Front struts and rear shocks changed to Koni red Special Active with frequency selective damping on stock springs. Rear shock mounts upgraded to elephant racing mounts. Sept - Oct 2018
- Full brake fluid bleed during suspension change in Oct 2018. ATE fluid
- New rear OEM tail light lenses. March 2019
- Valve adjustment and oil change November 2021 @ 95,600 miles
The bad:
A/C needs a recharge, only holds for 1 season
Car has been resprayed in several areas prior to my ownership.
Front windshield crack
