1996 Porsche Carrera 4S “Widebody”
For Sale
Quite an ask price for 100k miles and paint work , accident. Is there anything major done that makes it priced in line with 40-50k mile ones from known sellers on sites that get a premium like bat? Serious question, maybe missing something in the ad, it’s been for sale for a long time

Max, thank you for your comments. Please take the time to educate yourself on the current market for these cars. The ask is inline with other cars that have recently sold with similar miles and history..

I’m well versed in values been following all year , clean low mileage 4S sold by well known sellers like 911R for example on bat can reach high figures, but accident cars with 100k miles and paint work even if an S with half these miles are selling around $130k. 911R just had a 44k mile one on bat went to $132 then Tarek307 just sold one on pcar 45k miles sports seats 98S for that, and these are 2 of the top 993 guys. Both cars I mention are S which are more valuable.
pcar market? Ask how many sellers ended up with a no sale there after it shows sold, my friends yellow 993 being one of them, shows sold but deal never happened.
. Anyways GLWS don’t mean anything negative by the post

With all due respect , I jsut commented because your car has been for sale for a long time, 2 months when they usually don’t even last 24 hours

Thank you for your opinion, this car is a “driver” not typically sold by the folks you mentioned.
I was able to find some temporary storage so I’m not in a rush to find a buyer.
The recent pcarmarket sale listed above for a “driver” 993 C4S with similar miles and condition speaks volumes about the current market for a “driver” wide-body 993’s.

I’m pretty sure this car parks in the same parking garage that I park in for work. If so, I’ve seen it and it looks pretty clean in person. The photos taken at the detail shop is owned by and literally across the street from the dealership I work for. @Patrick3000 Good luck with the sale from a local Bethesda’an

@wintershade very nice comment. As with most of the cars that I have sold, 39 Porsche’s over the last 43 years, many buyers choose to send the car out for a PPI either by dealer, indy or self inspection. Which I highly encourage and think is a great idea for any car.
With that in mind I encourage you to do the same should you find yourself jumping from commenter to buyer. I would be happy to help arrange that with whomever you feel comfortable and I am more then willing to provide a few suggestions should you require them.
While you may appreciate the chatter, most serious buyers who take the time and money inspect cars generally don’t post much about the car if they are invested in a positive outcome.
Happy to answer any questions and if you find yourself compelled, come out and inspect the car and have a coffee. Always happy to chat Porsches, or cars anytime.
