Listing my beautiful 987.2 2009 Cayman for sale. I purchased this car from a Porsche specialty shop in New Jersey in early 2018 and it has proven to be an incredibly reliable and immensely fun vehicle over the last 3.5 years.

Prior to my purchase in 2018, I had a full PPI performed by long time Porsche mechanic Fred Avery in Cherry Hill, NJ to ensure the car had been well cared for, performed as it should, and had no mechanical issues. Under my ownership, I have continued to maintain the car, both mechanically and cosmetically, to keep it running and looking like new. I also added some enhancements which, I believe, add to the car’s driving experience and visual impact.

The car was garaged year-round and stored during winters on a trickle charger. It has never seen rain, let alone snow, during my time with it. It runs great and has no known mechanical issues.

The exterior and interior are both in very good condition. The exterior received a 30+ hour detail finished with a Gtechniq CSL ceramic coating and Gtechniq Evo V4. Whenever needed, I washed the car with the 3-bucket wash method using high quality soaps and pads and finished with bead maker drying aid/sealant. Given the mileage, the exterior looks incredible. Minor stone chips are present but barely visible having been meticulously touched up. The interior has also been routinely detailed with Swissvax leather care products on the seats and Dr. Beasley Alcantara cleaner and protectant on the Alcantara surfaces. There is some evidence of the notorious Porsche black rubber coating peeling on some black trim pieces.

The car comes with a Composite Concepts carbon fiber GT4 replica wing, should the buyer want it. The wing is currently uninstalled, and the mounting holes are plugged with matching Guards Red Bumperplugs. If the buyer opts for the wing, I can re-install it prior to delivery.

I truly believe the 987.2 is the hidden gem of the Porsche family that will continue to go up in value as we move further away from naturally aspirated engines, hydraulic steering, and manual transmissions. This car will provide many more miles of smiles to the next owner.

Why am I selling? I picked up a 997.2 last fall and I’m going to make the 911 my next project, devoting most of my time and energy into that platform. I have no doubt I will return to a Cayman at some point in the future.
