All work performed by House Automotive of Pasadena, CA.
I am the fourth owner. I know some of this car’s history: It was originally sold through Porsche of North Olmstead, then later serviced by Porsche of the Motor City. It accumulated only 14,000 miles between 2010 and 2018. I purchased it in September 2019 from CNC Motors. House Automotive did the PPI and found no issues other than the belt and tensioner needed replacement and the parking brake was out of adjustment.
All of the suspension work was done by House Automotive in July of 2020. It’s a huge improvement vs. stock. The stock suspension parts are included, so if you want to go back to OEM you can. PASM is disabled but can be turned back on if you reinstall the original shocks.
The Good:
This car is a dream to drive. I’ve racked up 14,000 miles of trouble-free driving, all of it recreational. This car begs to be driven, especially with the new suspension. It’s a great example of a kind of car that will never be made again. Rear engine, manual transmission, naturally aspirated, hydraulic steering, mechanically adjustable suspension. Yet it has modern conveniences like satellite radio, navigation, vented seats, and a sunroof.
The Bad:
The tip of the “C” in the Carrera badge got broken by a wash mitt. It’s “fixed” but it really should be replaced.
The windshield has a 1/4” chip near the rear view mirror. It’s been filled, but it’s still visible. It’s not worth replacing the windshield for unless you’re a perfectionist.
The nose has some rock chips. A skilled person might be able to fix them without a respray, I haven’t looked into it. I was planning on adding a GT3 front bumper.
There is a small dent on the front fender, about 1 inch long, near the gas flap. A pro might be able to fix it. It’s so hard to see that I didn’t bother messing with it.
Selling due to changing personal priorities.
Also added a video of a cold start. Even with the Fabspeed center it sounds the same as stock.
