Thanks for all of the interest. I’ve had over 20 people message me so I apologize if I haven’t gotten the chance to reply to all of the messages.

Just to be up front, I have about 20 people who want to buy my Cayman and about half claim they are ready to pay full asking price ASAP. I’m happy to work with you though, if you are ready to buy immediately, but I can’t hold on to the Cayman for anyone. I can’t pass on a sure deal for a maybe later deal. It will probably be sold by the end of today.

Sorry to be so blunt about it, but I just want full disclosure so nobody gets their hopes up that it will still be available later I’m getting messages of buyers who will be ready to buy in a few weeks, which I totally understand as I was there too. But realistically, it may be sold by this afternoon.

Again, not trying to be a jerk here, but please don't message me to yell at me for "wasting your time" because you inquired but got outbid by $3,000. The car hasn't even been for sale for 24 hours yet and nobody had been promised anything. I have been very clear that I cannot hold the car and pass on a sure thing sale. Literally no one here would pass on getting their asking price to make a deal for $3k less just because they listened to the offer or sent pics.
Thanks for understanding.

Yeah I think I should have just done that. Honestly, I had no intention of even listing the car and just doing the trade in until I saw their lowball offer. I just threw my car on here last minute just see what happens. I wasn't expecting to get 50 messages. lol

BAT just emailed replied with interest in putting my Cayman on their auction. I'd rather not wait but I'd probably make $3-4k more with BAT.

Again, sorry if I haven't gotten to all the replies.

I think you have been very up front and have not wasted anyone's time IMO. You posted up a very clear ad and a more than fair price ... for anyone complaining, when you see something you like/love, instead of complaining, talk to the man, come to a deal and talk about/send in a deposit to lock it in.

At least that's what i would have done yesterday. For me I'd rather see the car and buy it, instead of having it shipped unseen. Otherwise, trust me, I would have 'locked' it in yesterday if it weren't for figuring out the logistics between MI and TX. GLWS OP!

Thanks and good luck with your search. It took me a year to find my Cayman but it was worth it. I'm not too concerned with the people getting mad because I didn't accept their offer that was thousands less than asking price. Some of them were car flippers who were buying it only to make a profit off of it. They literally got mad at me because THEY couldn't use MY car to make THEM money at what they determined was an acceptable offer for me to accept. lol

Also, people seem to disregard that I AM AT WORK!!! I don't have time to respond to every demand for pics and video immediately but I'm doing my best. Replying to a comment or text is one thing, photo sessions and special requests are a lot more time consuming.

I kinda knew the seller was in for a fast&furious buy response the moment I saw the posting.

It's a perfect storm in so many ways for that exact make/model.

Just breath and don't let us cause you grief.

Offering less than $26k? lol. I think the response you've gotten is proof that the asking price is already low.

Just a blanket update because I don't think I can get to every message individually... A deposit has been put down on the car for full asking price. If something changes, I'll come back and move to next in line. Sorry to everyone for this looking like a mess. Putting my Cayman up for sale was very last minute and I wasn't quite prepared.

Good for you and good for everyone in not putting it up for auction here (which actually isn't allowed..) You're not giving it away, and you're not robbing anyone. Sounds like a good sale at a price you're comfortable with for a fast deal. Good on'ya.

Haven't been on Rennlist for some time and was going to follow up with you about hearing your exhaust. We had discussed last year, but as with everyone it's been crazy times. Looks like you should have no issue selling your Cayman. Good Luck !
