Description:
For sale is a 1986.5 Porsche 928 automatic that I purchased from a fellow rennlister in 2017. Originally a southern CA car, it’s now in northern CA. I bought it with just under 120K miles, it now has just under 122K. My goal was to create my ideal GT, but I haven’t been able to work on it much lately.
Exterior is gold, interior is chocolate brown. The body is amazingly straight, but the paint is dull. The interior is also very clean, a little dry but still very nice and completely intact. The dash is the worst with the leather pulling back, and the steering wheel is dry with some stitching undone, mostly at the top.
Within the first few months I made sure all the major mechanicals were reliable so I could drive it as I restored the cosmetics. The carpet (I simply didn’t like the color) and sound deadening were removed in preparation for audio upgrades and Dynamat. Everything that was removed was kept, including the carpet to show that there were absolutely no moisture issues.
