2018 Porsche 911 T, GT Silver/Black, 7 Speed Manual, 5,497 miles. I'm a long time Porsche owner, this is my 11th Porsche, starting with a 1972 911 T purchased new. I bought my 2018 911 T from Porsche of Colorado Springs and drove it back to Milwaukee in June, 2018. Factory Warranty through June, 2022. It's my weekend car, which explains the low mileage. I'm a typical OCD Porsche owner. The car is kept in a heated garage throughout the winter, so it's never seen snow or salt. I am the only person that washes and waxes the car. I've had three oil changes performed by my local Porsche dealer, including an initial oil change at 1500 miles, and then oil changes after the car has come out of storage each year (maintenance records available). No nicks, scratches, or rim damage and clean CARFAX. The dealer installed clear PPF on the front of the car halfway up the hood. I have a clear title. Options include: Carrera T Interior Package, Full Bucket Seats, Lane Change Assist, Heated Multifunction Steering Wheel, BOSE, Auto Dimming Mirrors, Apple CarPlay, Sirius Radio. NOTE: There are standard features on the T that make if unique versus the Base 911 which are documented on Porsche's website. I will be replacing the car with a 2021 911 S manual.
Nice car for Sale - I couldn't help but notice that you are looking to purchase the new 992 - 911S.
I'm struggling to learn more about the long term ownership experience and/or maintenance cost for a 911 with Turbos vs NA...
I want a manual gearbox, can't get on a list for a GT3-T, so I'm stuck considering 991's and or taking the plunge on a 911 with Turbo's vs NA.
What are your thoughts?
I never keep a car out of warranty, so can't comment on that. Porsche's aren't cheap for routing maintenance, with an oil/filter change $300-500. But when you're buying a car for far more than $100k in most cases, worrying about these costs, which aren't that frequent to begin with, seems a bit out of place. In short, these are very reliable cars, at least over a 3-5 year period, if not longer.
