Description:

Greetings to selective RL community members: After careful thought over the last several months, and with much regret, I have decided to offer my 1996 Porsche 993 4S for sale, found right here on Rennlist and referred by who I would like to call a very good friend who I met on RL as well. It has been a tough decision but it is time. She will remain posted on RL until 5/5/2020, at which time if she has not found a new home, I will close the posting on Rennlist and further prepare the car for a live auction with a reserve which has already been accepted with the 2 major Porsche auction sites. Please note she is being offered within my local network of Pcar enthusiasts as well and I reserve the right to pull the ad or close the post from the RL marketplace at any given time due to local sale or offering retraction. I also reserve the right to change my mind and not sell her at all, at any given moment. Reason for sale is not financial, it is quite simple: I have 5 Pcars plus others of other marques and even though she is in the rotation, there is just not enough time to properly add seat time. These cars are meant to be driven, not sit in a garage under cover patiently waiting for their turn to be enjoyed. Having two 993s Widebodies doesn't help either, as my C2S sometimes takes driving preference over the C4S being offered here. This is a private sale and most likely presented to those who not only know these cars, but also appreciate a high end and enthusiast preserved condition vehicle as opposed to a garage queen. PO was as meticulous as I am, and I want her to go to another enthusiast's home who shares the same passion and care for these cars. If you are a dealer, broker, tire kicker or flipper, you will waste your time with contacting me. I have 1 dealer I work with and they are not currently involved in this transaction at this time. For all inquiries please PM me or call/text whatsapp. There is room for responsible offers though not much. I have owned the car for 3.5 years and put barely 1600 miles since my ownership. Miles are fluid as I will continue to drive the car within my current monthly rotation. Ask me anything via PM and I will reply accordingly. My cell 786.266.7687.

Vehicle is located in South Florida area and PPIs are welcome at any of these 3 shops: Gulf Performance, Pompano Beach, FL/Parkhaus-1, Miami, FL/Foreign Affairs Motorsports, Pompano Beach, FL.

Trades +/- welcomed for 964 Targa manual transmission in non traditional color, that is not red, black or white. Silver, Grays or Blues (any hues) preferred. Can also look at manual transmission 991.2s in spec'd up build and condition.

A.: Straight and to the point imperfections:

1.- Chain Tensioner Gaskets starting to weep. No drips or oil marks on the floor whatsoever. Once a month I wipe excess oil from surface with paper towel, if car is not driven for more than 2 weeks. Otherwise no weeping at all with regular use.
2.- Wear on driver side seat bolster in line with age and use. Minor carpet rub marks around pedal cluster. All other areas excellent condition.
3.- Car has been repainted prior to my ownership on front bumper, fenders, hood, A pillars and blended into doors. Minor stone chips on bra (not car) showing on front bumper and 2 points on hood. Paint correction with Detailmeister system was performed during my ownership which brought the paint back to a deep wet look and did away with most imperfections and swirls. 1/2 3M Bra remains on hood and side view mirrors.
4.- Small chip on windshield at drivers side. Peppering throughout windshield which is still original from factory.
5.- Factory replica turbo tail, stock 4S black grill deck lid is not available with sale.
6.- Engine tray is off and is included in sale. Will ship separately in box.
7.- Aftermarket head unit with bluetooth and Sat radio plus aux usb port. OEM head unit not available with sale.

Attachments: Original Purchase PPI and service invoice from RUF Auto Center/RAC Performance in Texas. Did everything except chain covers. Window Sticker(R) for options present in the car. Recent service done to the car, minor, just 1 part replaced, car needs nothing else but a good home. I purchased the car sight unseen as I bought the seller and not the car, plus a near perfect PPI. Hoping to have the same selling experience as when I bought the car, so in this case, I am selling the seller and not the car.

Currently the car has 87.8k miles. I bought it with 86.1k miles and was referred to it by another RL member who later became a very good friend. To save everyone the research, here is the original RL post from which I bought the car:

https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-...6-993-c4s.html

Also, I sold the car once back in 2018 but buyer had some personal issues and could not finalize the transaction paperwork, the car never left my possession and there was never any paperwork exchange, long story but out of respect for that Gentleman's privacy that is all I will disclose. That 'sale' was made through this Rennlist listing back then and here it is: Today's offered price is different, will discuss only with serious inquirers and people who I know will not be out for tire kicking. Thanks again.

https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-...ail-coupe.html

This is my most reliable car and thanks to the outstanding maintenance the prior owner bestowed upon her, maintenance during my tenure has been very minimal, but it's time to let another enthusiast become her steward:

.- New Battery 04-18-2020
.- Belt replacement - all 3, currently being done now at Porsche independent specialist shop.
.- Oil Change 04-24-2020.

Car needs nothing else but another good home. I will post a few informal videos I took this past week later. Car will not be posted on RL marketplace for sale: All serious interested can inquire directly with me via PM. Again here is my cell as well, text and WhatsApp welcome: 786.266.7687. Thank you.

You're killing me man! Suffering from cabin fever that only a new classic beautiful 993 can alleviate. Now, I am looking to plow into "economic proof" businesses and such...
Let me go get my wife tipsy and maybe I can buy this!

Hello Hoi: One thing this lockdown and current circumstance has lifted upon me, and I'm sure a lot of others world wide is that you need to appreciate what you have, health and family primarily and that one needs to S.... (proverbial) or get off the pot in pursuit of what one wants, as our time here is not guaranteed. Case and point as to why I am downsizing and/or changing things up in the stable. You've had an eye for this car for years. My number is still the same, call or text me and maybe we can make something happen. I know she will be very well taken care of if she goes to your care.

Be well and thank you for the comments.

Well, after speaking to the shop to get an update on the car, the good 'ol "And while you're in there" unexpected guest came to visit today and additional preventive maintenance items were added to the list of things currently being replaced as follows:

.- New reverse - back up light switch
.- New passenger side intake boot on exhaust
.- New front sway bar drop links

All OEM and if you are local all of this recent work has 2 years parts warranty and 1 year labor warranty which applies to the car so that is notable.

I have answered all PMs and text messages. Thank you for your interest.

Beautiful and well maintained car. I've seen in up close and have had the opportunity to drive it. Julio keeps his stable of cars dialed in and spares no expense on maintenance, someone is going to get a great 993! GLWTS.

I think everyone should hire JAB12 to prepare their sale postings...and to care for their cars, because there are few more caring stewards for these cars than he is. Wow, as my friend Crocadile Dundee would say, That's a for sale post! GLWS...though I know you won't need luck.

Default Shop visit earlier today

I visited the shop earlier today and took these as the car was being pulled in for additional touches. Everything is on schedule and I will have her back well before the 5th.
