Description:
Putting my 997.1 GT3 up for sale. This is a hard decision for me but one I have to make due to lack of drive time. I started my own business 3 years ago (small car dealership/shop) and that is taking up all of my time. I have only put 1200 miles on the car in nearly 2 years and I am not a collector nor do I ever want to own a car to just sit in the garage. This car is owned by me and has nothing to do with my business as I purchased it when I was still working as an engineer. I do have a small lien on the car with a credit union and can provide information on that to prospective buyers if they want.
Anyways, enough about why I am selling it and onto the specs:
2007 GT3 in Carrara White with Natural Grey Leather full interior
- Full leather including dash, door cards and lower console parts
- Deviated silver stitching throughout the interior including dash, doors and seats
- Heated front seats
- Wheel caps colors
- Sound Package (useless)
- Sport Chrono
- Interior color matching Porsche mats
- Cluster surround and cup holder strip in Carrara White
- "Porsche" on storage compartment lid
- Illuminated Carbon Fiber door sills
- Bi-Xenon headlights
- Porsche Crest in headrest
The follow maintenance has been done either right before I got the car or since owning it:
- Spark plugs
- OEM front and rear brake rotors, pads and sensors
- Brake fluid flush
- OEM replacement TPMS sensors, all four
- Oil and filter change with Motul oil and OEM filter, four times including 20 miles ago on 3/17/20
- Four wheel alignment at a competent Porsche shop (Performance Automotive)
- Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires with around 70% tread life left up front and about 50% in the rear
The car does NOT have the coolant lines pinned but it has never been road track raced before or since I purchased it. I did have the car at a roll racing event at Pocono Raceway where I ran a few pulls.
I purchased the car from Bend Porsche in Bend, OR on 11/4/2016 after searching for nearly 6 months for the right car for me. I did not want super low mileage or a track-queen car. Just something with a little more mileage so I could drive it without feeling guilty and something that I could clean up nicely. I had the car close transported across the country to me.
Detailing is a passion and hobby of mine so I did a full 25 hour paint correction on the car in 2016 right after taking delivery and applied a sealant and wax (2 coats each). I use proper washing techniques and a drying aid to keep the wax preserved. The car shows extremely well. ZERO paint chips on the front end.
When I purchased the car it had clear film on the whole front clip; bumper, hood, fenders and rear quarters. It was on the vehicle from new and was slightly yellowing so I removed it and have no added any back on.
The Carfax report shows I am the 6th owner but I believe that is inaccurate and I am the 4th. Owner 1 had the car from 2007 until 2010 in Arizona as confirmed by the maintenance book stamps. Owner 2 had the car from 2010 until 2012. Owner 3 had the car from 2012 to 2016 but moved from CA to OR. He traded the car in at Bend Porsche and I was able to contact him before purchasing he car. He also had a 997.1 GT3 RS and said he decided to sell the GT3 and RS to purchase something else. He was an older guy and said pushing the clutch in became too much for him.
The paint on the car is all original except the driver's side front fender. The owner before me was backing the car out of his garage and cut it too hard and clipped a bicycle. He told me he thought a dentless repair would fix it but apparently not and the fender needed a repair and repaint. The fender was never removed from the car and the job looks fantastic, no one would be able to tell with the naked eye. I can only tell because I have a paint meter. The rest of the car is OEM paint.
Over rev report is clean with only 82 in Range 1 and 22 in Range 2.
The car is all stock except I lowered it 15mm to european spec height. Soul Performance center muffler bypass with OEM valves still in place and functioning. Clear side markers and LED interior lights. Car is pictured with LED taillights and RS door pulls but they have since been removed and the OEM parts back on.
Two keys, one valet key, all books and OEM window sticker all included.
Located an hour West of Philadelphia.
