Made my own before seeing the Lift Pucks (great design) and had the same issue... I

routered out a 1.25" groove in the bottom of the puck. Feeling much safer using my pucks on this style jack stand.

Just used the pucks that I bought for the 1st time today to install a new set of wheels/tires that I just bought. Very nice. Better than the pucks that I bought to use w/BMW.

As I was doing the wheel/tire exchange, I "found" a way to make sure that I don't leave any pucks attached to the car, which simply involved placing each puck on my workbench after I finished replacing each wheel/tire.

If there are 4 pucks on the work bench, all are accounted for. If one or more are missing, it's a reminder to go and get them. This "method" should work whether you are lifting/working on just 1 or all 4 wheels.

If there aren't 4 pucks on the workbench when you're finished, the missing one(s) is( are) still probably attached to the car.

 

I'd love to purchase a set of these but I'm fairly sure I still can't PM. Would you PM with the info needed to get these?

I have the newer Quickjack with the lower profile rubber blocks, but have found the lift pucks sit nicely on top of these blocks. Very happy with the lift pucks and have put them to good use.

 

Finally got to use mine the other day when changing my wheels to my spare set.
Worked great!
