Description:
This engine came from my 2000 996. It has 90K miles on it. I was getting coolant into Cylinder 1, which was diagnosed as resulting from a cracked head. The head CAN be repaired, and I've seen Machine Shops repair them for around $1K (you ship them the head, they fix it, mail it back to you). Or, you could purchase a used head elsewhere. I was considering a re-build, but decided to put the $$ into other parts for the car, and swapped with a used engine I previously had. I had no other issues with the engine before this incident. Previous seller told me that the IMS was updated.
Previously listed for $2K. I'd like to get $1,500 for it this Winter.
