Am asking for $63,500 for the car. For $67,500 you can have everything.
Actually I had a 2002 Turbo when I bought the GT3. I loved the turbo but didnt want to turn it into a track car. When I bought the GT3, my wife (now ex-wife) said to me, "but we shouldn't own five Porsches." So I suggested she sell her Boxster. Finally traded the turbo and an 04 Cayenne in on a new 2013 Cayenne diesel (which I love). In retrospect, I should kept the turbo and sold the wife.....
Love to trade but I am trying to downsize. I still have an 87 911 I bought new....I'll never sell it.
Great story! Sorry about the dissolution of your marriage, I've been through that and it sucks. I almost bought a Cayenne diesel in the spring! Ended up just keeping my beater Jetta tdi, it just rolled over 300k. I also have an aircooled 911, but mine is an '84... I've had it for a few years and am starting to toy with the idea of engine work or swapping it... Who knows.
Are you the original owner of the GT3? It'd also be interesting to hear about why the transmission needed to be rebuilt.

my '13 Diesel is at 110k miles. Just keeps on trucking. The '87 flunked Northern Virginia emissions a few years ago (it was at 140k miles) so we did new P&Cs and made it a 3.4. Then started cooking front calipers so we upgraded to 930s. IT was a fun car on the track but then I decided to retire it and thus, the GT3. From CarFax, I think I am the forth owner. Started in Florida, then move to Massachusetts, It then was bought by a guy I know in Virginia. I bought it from him five years ago. The tranny starting acting up a couple of years ago (hard to shift second to third)......with 70+k miles (and perhaps a few of those were on the track), it was time. Works great now.
