Was what I heard as I drive my GTS to pre-grid. Had a good time yesterday at California Speedway. It's no track weapon like my 997.2 S was but for a 4000+# SUV it did a great job. Drove it boner stock and what I came away with this is, I need to drive smoother and don't over drive it and over with the tires. The thing needs to be a smidge lower.
The OE Michelin Lattitude 3's have insane grip for SUV tires. I tracked them and was really impressed.
The car on track handles than it has any right to. I had similar reactions when I tracked ours. The look on drivers faces as they gave point by's was priceless.

the last session i did the track temp was well over 100F so it started feeling a little sloppy but in the morning it was pretty decent. Didn't make the dogs howl too much
You can track anything.
Really? its about managing your expectations.
Balance, not too fast, don't over work the brakes.
Used to track a Honda civic 13oo in the late 8o's, 4spd solid front rotors and drums on the back.
Brakes were toast one lap in at Circuit Mont-Tremblant and circuit gilles villeneuve MTL.
I was doing an instructor clinic at VIR and had a wheel stud break on my 370Z track car. I used my tow vehicle, a 2012 Cayenne Diesel for my last session to complete! It was a bit slower, but it was a lot of fun
A few years ago, I instructed a young man at VIR in his brand new Ford Lightning truck. It was a hoot. (Would've much preferred to have instructed his father, tho...in his new Ford GT!)
Bone stock. Faster than half of the high intermediate Black Group cars at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway. Never went off track - 4,500# (with 2 fat occupants), nannies off and with all seasons. What a great time!

Looks great. A clone of my GTS. Want to take mine out at some point just to say I did lol
Ohhh you're the owner! My buddy was out there with his black turbo s and mentioned that there was a Macan out there! Great to see another owner tracking this beast

Took my piggy to Laguna Seca, in order to make 90db restrictions. My "track Porsche" was much too loud. Managed a 1:55 lap, which I suppose isn't too bad. Like others mentioned, super fun to drive on the all-seasons, and even more fun to force the point by from M cars...
