Default Macan in the snow

I had my doubts at first but with the stock all-season tires my Macan had no problem starting of stopping. Drove a good 25 miles through slush and mess and packed snow. I did place it in "Off Road" mode as the dealer suggested in such conditions.

Macan Turbo in snow—no problem.

Same experience and agreed, it has been solid in the white stuff. Never had to put it in off-road mode tho.

The stock all season tires are ok in snow but lousy on ice - a set of good snow tires took care of that.

Really like it in the snow.
RWD bias
Turn Off everything (with a good set of snow tires), put in manual mode and enjoy!

I'll have to try the off road setting. Our Macan is primarily driven by my wife but I drove it in snow/slush conditions recently and was shocked at how bad it was compared to my DD (A Mercedes with 4matic). I did not change any settings but in comparison the Merc was much better. I was going to buy a set of dedicated snow tires but I'll try the off road setting first.

Thanks

You drove in the snow using summer tires? Off road mode won't change much here, you need decent tires to start with.

Difference between Macan and Merc is simple, Macan's AWD is rear focussed, while the Merc system for the A class is derived from a FWD system. This might feel safer (and is for the unskilled driver as it will give you a lot of underwater), but I hate it, no chance to steer the car with the loud pedal.

Been on frozen lakes for 3 days last week, driving RWD Porsches on spike tires, this is so much fun
