Default MSRP in Los Angeles?

I dropped into Pacific Porsche today to check out a Macan S. Looking at an SUV to replaced my wife's Benz ML350. I thought the Macan size is perfect, Benz and Cayenne are too big. Dealer wouldn't sell a Macan without a $2,500 clear bra installed, which I look at as $2,500 over MSRP. So won't be giving them my business. Before I start dialing for dollars and getting salesperson BS (come in and we'll see what we can do, etc). Has anyone been able to get MSRP in the greater LA area?

Thanks!

Discounts probably won't happen until next year when things calm down. Currently, Porsche cannot build these things fast enough. I don't like to buy either until demand has settle and I have some bargaining power. Good luck!

Not even looking for a discount! Just straight MSRP with no mandatory dealer add-ons. BTW when I was pulling out a car carrier pulled in with 10 brand new Macan's on it from the port.

My first and only experience with Service Manager at Pacific P. over a decade ago was not good and they did not get the service that visit. I only now buy seals and gaskets when in a hurry and get attitude from the parts department ? Too many other options ..... Wait until your car is > 15yo... PNA in general will not give much support .... Thank goodness for the INDY mechanics that know our cars. Circle in LB probably good alternative. McKenna worth a call ... Goodluck ...

The Car Guy LA, I actually got $1,000 off.

Ooops, trying to delete as I realized that was the dealer who gave you a run around. Are you willing to order and wait?

I went to Walters Porsche outside of LA. Never got a good deal on any car within the city limits. Dealers feel entitled for some reason. No add-ons and 3.7 percent off retail at walters...

Fleet.

Build the exact car you want, usually get about 3% off MSRP....but you gotta wait 100 days or so.

Most dealers cannot get enough Macans thus little discounting. I had to take full weather mats inside (Weathertech) and pay for them as part of the deal. Only way to get a Macan in Vancouver is to do it this way. I waited 9 months for my car from date of order (wanted some specific options that were not offered until later production slot so lost 2 months for those things.

Or you could talk to me, because ... uh... I have more hair than him.

Kidding. But seriously, we are a great dealership to work with.

If there's a trade in involved, then almost guaranteed any "discounts" are coming right out of that. Lots of wiggle room for a dealer to adjust that and make you feel like you're getting a small deal on a car that's going for strictly at (or even over, even on some used models) MSRP in majority.

The prices will start mellowing out soon. More open cars arriving and more being built.
