Is your signature "Macan" hyperlinked?
OK, so this is probably a petty post but I'm going to throw it out there.
If you have the word "Macan" as part of your forum signature, you've probably noticed that it is occasionally hyperlinked to products in Amazon (ex a power boosting chip for the Macan). I also had "Impulse Red" linked to something in Amazon!
Did I make these hyperlinks? NO, of course not.
I think this is just a little too intrusive of Internet Brands. I understand that they own RL and other forums to make money, but placing an automatic marketing hyperlink in our personal signatures is crossing the line IMO.
I posted about this in the Help forum.
My solution: "Macan" is now written as "Ma-can" and "Impulse Red" is now "Imp Red." No more hyperlinks (for now).
Yeah, I know this is silly but I've been posting here for 10 years and my sig is part of my online identity.
