Nice simple, balanced and well priced build. Well done. Although I admit I don't get the logic of Heated steering wheel and summer tires.. but to each his own.
Wish I could say the same about the one I am thinking of getting..

Enjoy it when you get it.

Great combination. A real Porsche Sports (with a capital S) utility vehicle and a real Porsche sports car. I am similar with a Macan and '13 Boxster S in the garage. It allows me to recognize the significant differences between them and the great pleasures derived from both.

One suggestion, consider adding PASM to the Macan as it will help with the weight and ride management.

@rpilot - 20s with summer tires are for summer. I will get 18" winter tire and wheel combination for winter. Even after the $1,230 premium it is less expensive to order 20s from Porsche and get aftermarket 18s than the other way around. Plus I end up with proper winter and summer tires not an all season compromise. Maybe an overkill, but since this is a utility vehicle, I want it to be ready for anything.

@SeaPors - If PASM lowered the ride even a bit, I would have done it. Does anyone know if PASM comes with stiffer springs? I have till today to change options... :-O

PASM is an electronic adjustable system with driver selections of comfort, sport and sport plus. Since Issaquah is in the foothills, the varied terrain and snow potential may justify air suspension which has 3 height settings and includes PASM too. If you don't want the AS then I'd still get the PASM which you can get ala carte.

@SeaPors - I thought about PASM and decided against it. I have the sport X73 suspension on my Cayman S, and with the exception of my M3 never had adjustable suspensions. Considering this will be my family hauler, nasty weather and road trip car I just could not justify $3K on AS nor 1300 on PASM. Though I did think about PASM quite a bit, and if it lowered the car a bit like it does for the sport cars - yeah, I would have gotten it.

IMO - this is the only must have option on the Macan. A proper set of summer/winter tires really changes the character of a vehicle.

I've ended up going with 20"s for Winter as well, happy to post my thoughts when snow arrives.

Nice build, I too have one on order to compliment my 2014 Boxster S. Good to see a couple others with the same situation. Thought about trading in the Boxster, but it's too good, just can't do it.

@1morlap I did this with our Cayenne build.
The summers were great, but only lasted 2 and a half summers.
One part of the first summer was in Germany - ED

Replaced them with all seasons and I couldn't see a big difference.
Your results will likely vary

Great build!

And getting closer. Build date is confirmed for November 21, leaving port on December 5th, and arriving in San Diego on January 4th. Would like to pick it up on the 16th.

I think Porsche is getting ready to release a bunch of allocations too! Keep an eye on your build date and ask your salesman to keep an eye out for factory changes by Porsche. I know a couple people who had there build changed by Porsche for unforeseen reasons and didn't find out till they picked them up.
