I am debating trading my 911 and 335i x-drive for a Macan Turbo. I have 4 cars and honestly I would rather have 3. Wife has the family Odyssey, I have the 911, 335i, and a Shelby Mustang. My Shelby is my Garage queen. I love both my 911 and BMW, I just don't want 4 cars any longer. I have a 3 car garage and honestly have found out having 2 toys is not what I expected, I don't drive them often and have little time to keep them looking the way I like them to look. Am I crazy? Honestly my cars don't mean as much to me now that my kids are getting older and into sports and stuff. I have twin 8 year old boys and a 5 year old daughter.
The local dealer I bought my 911 from has a Macan Turbo that has an MSRP of about $85K, it has been there for a little while, any thoughts on discounts at this point? I was thinking 5-8%, but honestly have no idea. If they are still going for MSRP I will hold off. I don't need to do anything.
Sorry about the rambling....

what year is the shelby? (I sold my 07 last year)
trading the 911 and 335 on a sport ute is a decent idea. Turbo sitting on the lot is worth a slight discount as it may not be what you want options wise as most dealer inventory cars are.
Trouble is, with a trade-in you have little room to wiggle price.
$80k would be nice but alas they will only take the extra out of your trades.

I hear you on the trades, I think they were very fair on the trade I did for the 911, but they stood firm on the price of the 911, it had less than 3000 miles and I still think it was a competitive price. I just do not want to pay MSRP and get low trades. The tax savings usually come close to negating the difference of selling Private Party. I do not track and I am hoping on normal roads the Macan Turbo will split the fun factor between the 911 and 335i. I would keep the Shelby for the weekend fun toy.
As far as my Shelby it is actually a 2007 Shelby GT/SC, I am not sure if you have heard of it. I had all the modifications done at Tasca, it is a really special car to me and although I have contemplated selling it instead I just can not do it.
