My Valentine One dislikes my Macan Turbo
Slapped in my Valentine One into my new Turbo and it indicates a rear signal whenever the car is on. Damn this sucks. Had it upgraded 4 years ago. Escort has no such problem. Anyone else have this problem?

What gizmo options do you have? In particular, do you have the LKA (lane keep assist) on it?... If you have the Premium plus package, the lane keep assist comes with it. If you do have it, try turning it off. For good measure try turning off LCA also if you have it.
If you don't have the above or that does not work, your guess is as good as mine.

My vote is on the Lane Change Assist (LCA) since it's a radar-based system. LKA uses cameras to scan for the painted lines on the roadway and seems unlikely to be the culprit.
Also, 4 years is a long time to go between upgrades. Might be time to send in the V1 for the latest software. I'm glad your Escort doesn't seem to be affected though; I'm moving my 9500ci to the Macan when it shows up.

I'd call Valentine customer support to see if they have a thought. They've always been responsive to me; in any event, if there is going to be a problem with Macans I think they'd like to know about it.

I have an older Valentine One and just used it on my Macan S on a quick trip. Same issue, rear alert on all the time. I think it might be the lane Change Assist as well? I turned off LKA and it still happened. I have not played around with V1 location on windshield, have it mounted next to rearview mirror

I have a similar issue on a car I owned a few years ago (hard to keep track).
The solution was to go into the advanced programming in the V1 and disable the feature. Doesn't effect the detectors other capabilities. There are a bunch of hidden option on the V1 that can be toggled.
Try an internet search, you should find the solution you are looking for.

Is there a fix for this? I did not get LCA on my CD, but think it is worthwhile. Will get it on my next one, but that would be QUITE annoying if it cannot be programmed off.

yes it can be resolved by programming if you have one of the most current firmwares installed on your unit. Otherwise you will have to pay for a firmware upgrade in order for the correct option to appear in programming.

I checked online and I am up to date on the firmware. I looked at their FAQs and did not find any solutions for LCA. :-(

I was driving back from Central Oregon this morning and got the big alert in front of me. I thought it was police with the radar on because it was pretty constant, blasting the oncoming traffic. Finally I got up to a new Kia and the arrows shifted after I passed him and eventually went silent. Will do the programming this afternoon.
