Drove a Macan S on Friday and a Macan Turbo tonight. Looks like I've decided I want to trade in my cars and settle on a Macan Turbo as an all-purpose vehicle. It's acceptably quick and the air suspension really is great even if I'll spend almost all my miles on pavement.
Now to find a dealer with an allocation in the near future.
The current config I'm planning on is:
Premium Package Plus
Exterior Color N4 Dark Blue Metallic
Interior Color VM Leather Interior in Luxor Beige
Exterior 3S5 Roof Rails in Black
7X8 ParkAssist (Front and Rear) incl. Reversing Camera
QJ4 Window Trim in Black (High-Gloss)
Performance 1BK Air Suspension incl. Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM)
G1D Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)
QR5 Sport Chrono Package
Wheels C7T 21" 911 Turbo Design Wheels
Wheel Accessories 1NP Wheel Center Caps with Colored Porsche Crest
Interior 3Y4 Sunblind for Rear Side Windows
9AQ 3-zone Climate Control
Q1J Adaptive Sport Seats (18-way) incl. Memory Package
I'm debating the Porsche connect and whatnot. I'm not really sure what benefit they really add.
Had one of the first '95 M3's in the US. Still remember and love that car with it's "telepathic steering" as you put it. Gave up on BMW when I bought a 2000 540 6 speed with numb steering and questionable build quality. Only kept it 6 months and traded it for a Porsche. Never looked back since.

With this kind of build you should throw in the PVT , I think I notice it and it's worthwhile. Not as obvious as pasm but worth it.
I'm sure you're aware of the issue with beige interiors creating a lot of reflected dashboard glare in the windshield. I don't understand why Porsche doesn't offer the 2-tone version with the top of the dash and top of doors being black, and better still, deviating carpets in black.
Sounds like you'll have a great looking car. Love dark blue metallic.
Didn't see the heated and ventilated seats, tow pkg, or colored wheel crests. Those are high on my list as I want them. The tow pkg & heat/vent seats help with resale. Some buyers won't even consider if you don't have them.
I'm know everyone warns of the reflection from the beige dash, but I just don't want another really dark interior. The black interior looks pretty sharp, but I want some contrast against the dark exterior. And I like how the lighter color makes the interior feel more open. I wish I could spec a black leather steering wheel with the luxor interior though, so I could hide wear and tear there more easily. Also, heated seats are part of the Adaptive Sport Seats option and Premium Package Plus includes seat ventilation, so that's covered.
I haven't been able to find one with PVT and check out how it feels, but I was damn impressed with how just the air suspension made the car handle. The ride was great, and I could see how all the journalists were having so much fun sliding the tail around when they wanted to.
Great build. I skipped PCC as I couldn't tell the benefit from reading the description. I also added comfort lighting, it provides a nice touch and I like the led lights.
I have less than 200 miles on my Turbo, but so far, it's a fantastic vehicle. I think you'll really like it and will be happy with your decision.
Put down a deposit today for an August build. Should have it sometime late September/early October.
I still have about a month to make any changes, but I doubt there's much I would add. The reflection from the luxor interior is noticeable, at least in a Cayenne, but wasn't really all that bad and was easy to ignore. I think getting it in leather will dull the reflection a bit, too.
After a bit of researching and reading I added Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, the Comfort Light Package, and the Smoking Package to my order. In a rather un-Porscheish fashion, it seems you don't get any lights for the vanity mirrors unless you order the CLP. Upgrading a few more lights to LED will be nice as well. I don't smoke, but liked the lid over the hole in the center console more than the open socket.

Do you know where I can find a picture of the lid that comes with the smoking package? It doesn't appear to pop-up when I add it on the Macan build site.
My wife and I don't smoke either, but the open socket is the one thing that grates on me about the interior.

You should see it when you implement the 3D mode of the configurator display, and press the arrow for a "tour" of the interior.
Sorry, I don't have any pictures handy at the moment. But keninirvine is correct, if you use the configurator in 3-D mode, it will show the cover or the open socket. There are some threads over at macanforum.com where people have posted pictures and discussed this option in particular.
