Exclamation Macan interior - looks cramped back there

High rez picture that was previously leaked in that german car magazine, it looks cramped back there...

- no head room
- no leg room
- notice how his thighs don't even make contact with the seat all the way

The only hope is that this guy is like 6'5'' or something... If the interior room is this bad I am wondering why they could not get the weight down further.

Just to get an idea, I climbed behind the drives seat in my BMW 335d without changing the seat position from where I usually keep it. It felt that I have about the same head room and a bit more leg room than the guy in the picture. I am 5'11'', as I said, I hope the guy is over 6' otherwise it doesn't look good for an SUV. They should have build the Pajun instead...

I believe it is unexpected, if it is not an SUV it sure weights as one if the leaked spec sheet from China is correct.

Edited: I am sorry, I forgot, IT IS A SPORTS CAR /sarc

I did so too today, certainly it has a lot more leg and head room compared with the guy in the picture, however, I am only 5'11". I sure do hope that dude is 6'5" or something

That interior looks laid out pretty much like my Wife's Tiguan right down from the handles over the doors to the rear seat breakouts to even the buttons on the headrests. I'm about 6' and just spent 2 hours in the back seat with out any problems or discomforts (plenty of leg room for me). The Tiguan rear seats are individually adjustable, fore and aft, and I'm sure that will be the same in the Macan.
Ya, Ya, Ya, I know the Tiguan is a VW and we're looking at an upscale Porsche here, but, small crossovers are, well, small crossovers. I'm sure Porsche will make the seating just fine for all us normal Volks.

The Porsche roof slope more to the rear which limits head room compared with the Q5. Or SQ5 for some of us.

The transmission tunnel is huge, restricts the foot space for the centre rear seat passenger which is useless for an adult.

Agree the picture doesn't make it look all that roomy but funny how they don't say how tall the guy is. For all we know he could be jaws cousin! Im pretty sure it won't be that bad for most folks….sure not as roomy as a Cayenne but good enough for many.

It seems they have set the front seat fully back as well.

^ yeh i think some journo is trying to make a bigger deal out of it than what it really is. A Q5 is hardly squeezy in the rear so can't see Macan being. Frankly I think they will sell these by the boatload….awesome package!

Heres the same guy sitting on both Macan and Q5, Q5 seems bigger in the back.
