2015 Macan S
I am looking at a 2015 Macan S with 96k miles, asking price is $14,995.00
Has a solid service history and has always been maintained at the local Porsche Dealership, last service shown on carfax was at the dealership at 89k miles
Is this a good buy, or does the 2015 have problems?
The later generations tend to have fewer issues but since this car has been around for many years most, if not all, know early issues would have been addressed already.
My only concern would be with the transfer case. Many early versions failed. Has this car had its transfer case replaced? You could contact the servicing dealer and they might let you know.
If the transfer case has been addressed and you are looking for a nice daily for a few years this looks like a good buy.
I second that it looks like a good buy. Depending on specific options and condition, 2015 S could potentially fetch a slightly higher price than that, even with those miles. I spent a few thousand dollars at about 90k miles to ensure mine would keep running strong, with plans to run it to 150k-plus. Unfortunately a teenage driver in another car had other plans, and it was totaled a few days ago. Anyway, change the oil more frequently than factory recommendations, keep an eye on the transfer case and the timing cover and you’ll have a wonderful ride for at least a few years!
