Default Oil message
The " needs oil change" message came on after only 6500 miles on the last change....there was a miliage countdown going on and suddenly i get this message?? has been less than a year since oil change

Change the oil. What does the oil level show?

There is a 1 year or 10K mi clock on the oil change. Message could display if you are getting close to that 1 year anniversary since the last service or oil change irrespective of mileage.

Model year and total mileage on the car?
