Has anyone DIY a leak detection pump? Wondering how hard it is to expose the charcoal canister. There are some YouTube videos that have been done on the cayenne but am specifically wondering about the macan.
I'm getting a P2402 code that I think corresponds to the pump.
Look for YouTube videos about the Evap / Leak Detection Pump for the Audi Q5, A4 or S4, it is a much more similar platform to the Macan than the Cayenne.
I believe it is readily accessible from underneath, with a lift, or the rear on ramps. Might need to remove some underbody plastic covers, and/or the drivers side rear wheel liner.

Here is the procedure straight from the manual! I have done a few myself, not that difficult. Just make sure you put all the small screws holding the fender liner back in place, as there are 2 diff sizes. Good luck!
Over all job took about 2.5 hours. A lot of time was consumed trying to figure out how much to expose of the underbody panels. I removed the left rear wheel and liner and in retrospect is not necessary.
the technical bulletin is pretty general. You need to take down the whole apparatus including the charcoal canister to get to the leak detection pump. Reuse the rubber adaptor that connects the pump to the canister.
Otherwise CEL P2402 seems to be gone. Hopefully I didn't create a leak putting everything back together

So, how did you jack the car up and set it down on a support stand? I worry about resting the car on a non-support point. This has puzzled me on the Macan...

Subframe screws/attachment points are used by some site members. Or rennstands or another stand, the name escapes me at the moment. The stands allow lifting at the normal lift points then the jack is replaced by the stand.
