The thread is discussing PSCB rotor life.

PSCB: The Porsche Surface Coated Brakes (PSCB) combine a cast-iron brake disc with a ceramic coating (tungsten carbide). The brakes shine not just with white brake calipers. Other advantages include improved corrosion resistance of the brake discs, even during prolonged idle periods, and significantly reduced formation of brake dust. The result: the wheels and brake system stay clean for longer.

These are not the same as

PCCB Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes: Race-track-approved ceramic braking system with carbon-fiber reinforced ceramic brake discs. Due to the thermal stability of the ceramic material, PCCBs are virtually unfazed by even the most extreme conditions. The crucial advantage is the extremely low weight of the ceramic brake discs, which are approximately 50% lighter than cast-iron discs of a similar design and size. As well as enhancing driving performance, this particularly reduces unsprung and rotating masses.

Due to the tungsten carbide coating, I would not use aftermarket pads designed for steel rotors. So you are limited to stock Porsche (for WC) pads as replacements.

There are compatible aftermarket pads out there for PSCBs for certain trim levels but not all.

They have added more choices recently so maybe they are available for all trim levels.

Looks like ATE is the OE supplier to Porsche.

Thanks Carlo. Do these fit third gen 22+ GTS Macans? They are quite a bit cheaper than OEM pads via Suncoast. Looked at FCP Euro and they only carry OEM Porsche for PSCBs. Funny they list pads for "Red" calipers (which I think are steel rotors not PSCB) but my calipers are black not red or white.

FYI, my 2024 GTS calipers are red. Black is an option for PSCB on the Gen3.

The screenshots I posted are from Pelican Parts and according to them, yes, these pads will fit your 22+ GTS with PSCBs. Pelican are usually very accurate with their compatibility listings.

This begs the question. Are the calipers and rotor dimensions the same for PSCB vs steel?

Anyone have an opinion on how PTV will affect the PSCB rotors? Car will be used part of time on mountain roads in WNC.

It won't. I went 40k miles on my outgoing Macan which had PSCB and PTV and despite rather spirited driving there was no measurable wear to the rotors or pads at that mileage. They really are lifetime brakes.
