Default Discount on 2024 Macan?

With the 2025 models around the corner, can any discounts be expected on 2024 models in stock?

depends on what you are buying, but I was able to get a pretty heavy discount on a fairly heavy optioned GTS.
they had 14 GTS’ on the lot - lazy greedy dealers won’t budge.

but had no problem finding a dealer that wanted to play ball.

Also look at CPO if you are looking for a base. You can usually get one with only a few thousand miles for a big discount; they are dealer loaners. Especially a 2023 since they didn't change them at all for 2024 (or 25) that I'm aware of. I think the only difference was a wireless charging pad in the center counsel box, but who cares about that.

I got a '23 CPO in late December before New Years, so just after the 24s came out, for $15k off MSRP and loaded- premium package, PASM, 20" Macan S wheels, tow hitch, heated steering wheel, surround view, Bose sound, and puddle lights. Most of them are fairly loaded. 11,500 miles but only $61,500. That's easily a high 70k spec in a new one (the base price itself has gone up like 2 grand); I priced it out n the builder site and it was just over $77k in a 2024.

If you pay a few thousand more you can get one with 5-6,000 miles. And the warranty is extended 2 years past factory; unlimited miles. That's the biggy. I'm covered until January 2029 on warranty. 3 of the 4 original years plus 2 more.

It had one rock chip in the front bumper (very low above the splitter so not in an eye-catching place), I fixed with touch up (tossed in a bottle free) and wet sanding/polish in a few hours. I didnt want them messing with it with a slipshot fix even though they offered. And the interior was brand new.

We just picked up a new well optioned Base about a month ago and yeah it was discounted heavily. It was the end of the month and at a very high volume dealer that needed to hit their quota. I would recommend finding what you want on the lot, waiting until month end and reach out to see what they will do. Be ready to follow through immediately.

each city/state is going to be different based on inventory on hand and how many dealers are within driving distance.

porschefinder is how I nailed down my deal.

Good point on the extended warranty. Maybe a CPO makes more sense if they don't budge on the new ones.

The market has shifted.
A dealer not moving on price is a thing of the past if there is inventory sitting on the lot.
The covid days are over.

use the Porschefinder tool to find comps in your area and negotiate.

Yeah as a first time Porsche buyer just not to sure what to expect. Seems the 2024 CPOs are about 20% off the original MSRP. Of course that's also just the asking price and can probably be negotiated.

there’s always some room in CPO, because it’s now a used car.
on new, you are still gonna get kareemed on depreciation no matter how big a discount you get.

you need to decide, do you want a car with no farts, or some with…..

That is if you want a base. They don't carry many recent year S or GTS CPO cars, at least that I have seen. They are at least 2-3 model years old; at least in the higher trims.

The base is what they use for dealer loaners. So they seem to always have a bunch of those if you can deal with some miles on it. But yeh 20% off is a big chunk of change with extra warranty. They haven't changed them between years recently that I'm aware of (other than the wireless charging pad).

We bought a 2023 CPO base, silver with two tone leather, air suspension, 21”wheels,sport chrono, and a few more bells and whistles for $56k in January. It was a loaner with just over 5k miles on the odo. The dealer had about 25 similar CPOs on the lot. Didn’t bargain much, but it was too good a deal to pass up. Unlimited mileage warranty till January 2029.

Did some digging and found some new cars that show a 10% discount (off the MSRP) on the dealer website, so I am guessing a discount in that range should be possible.

That should be very possible on cars that are on the lot, we were able to get more than that on ours. They also bumped up our trade in offer by $1500 more than what we were offered 8 months prior by three dealers and that was after we added another 7k miles.

In June, I used the Porsche Finder to locate available & incoming cars. I easily negotiated 10% off a nicely equipped 2024 Macan S via phone. My local Porsche dealer only offered $1K off MSRP despite stating 2025 models were scheduled to arrive starting in early August. Multiple dealers in multiple states offered 8-10% off. For most of the ones I contacted, their starting offer was 8% off.

I traveled 4 hours to pick up the Macan S (one way rental car). It was my second purchase from the same salesman/dealer. It was an easy process & great experience. We stayed the weekend in a nice town & enjoyed a long scenic drive home in the new car.
