The AWE Touring Edition Catback Exhaust Suite covers both '19-'21 Porsche Macan 3.0T/2.9TT and '22+ Porsche Macan 2.9TT, the suite is a direct bolt-on, dual 2.5” configuration that features a bespoke X-pipe for enhanced exhaust scavenging, delivering a rich, full-bodied tone throughout the entire range.

Equipped with AWE’s patented drone-canceling 180 Technology®, interior acoustics are kept in check at highway speeds ensuring comfortability while the Touring Edition awaits the moment you drop the hammer to sing its aggressive soundtrack.



Perfect tone, compliments of 180 Technology®



Perfect tone, compliments of AWE 180 Technology®. As exhaust gasses exit the 2.9TT and 3.0T engines and flow into an AWE 180 Technology equipped resonators, they pass through strategically located ports, and into reflection chambers. Sound waves, carried by these exhaust gasses, bounce off the walls of the reflection chambers. By controlling the size and location of the ports and the chambers, we also control when the sound waves exit the chambers. The specific timing of when the reflected sound waves rejoin the main exhaust flow creates a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree out-of-phase sound wave that cancels out problematic frequencies. All of this with a straight-through design -- in other words, all the power, none of the drone.



Nope, they’re not valved:
Thanks to the throttle position-dependent nature of 180 Technology® the Touring Edition is capable of killing drone-prone frequencies while having aggression on-tap, as well as creeping through your neighborhood without causing unwanted attention. Thanks to proper engineering, a valve isn’t needed. Your Macan will still respond in the expected manners when changing through driving modes, complete with burbles when toggled to “Sport+” just as your factory exhaust would. The Touring Edition Exhaust features a fixed valve simulator bracket to accommodate the factory valve motor to ensure your ECU remains happy.

Power to the pavement:
Dyno-verified gains of +13 hp and +1 lb-ft of torque at the wheels on an otherwise stock vehicle.

Tip Options:
Each exhaust comes complete with four 4.5” double-walled, slash-cut tips available in chrome silver or diamond black, and feature a stamped AWE logo. All tips are individually adjustable, allowing depth into the bumper to be set according to personal taste.

Any plans on making catted downpipes?

Not at this time, we can't offer anything that alters the emissions system.

But on the flip side, all of our systems are emissions compliant and still sound great as-is

From the videos it sounds very mid-range focused, in the spirit of a 4cyl high flow exhause. I would love to hear some more samples from inside the car, but what I would really be looking for in an exhaust is a slightly lower exhaust note vs stock. This doesn't seem to quite get there.

Not sure what ya mean, I'm afraid, Mark. We don't exactly employee bespoke x-pipe geometry for 4cylinder platforms. The X does a lot of justice in every spectrum of the rev range -- low, mid, and definitely the highend. The soundtrack deep and rich at all times. The video above shows interior acoustics at WOT and highway cruising speeds.

This is great ,except that I got jipped by bad advertisement at flatsix and bought the exhaust for a prev generation (site is not updated properly and I'm sad it just sits there after asking them to update) - 2 weeks of constant adjustment and more cutting than necessary has turned me into a sour customer. I finally got it to sit right and had to weld some parts in. It's the track edition so it sounds quite loud - drones a little bit, but mainly ok.

on my FRS though it sounds great with track pipes as well.

too bad I cannot get any adjustment for this on the macan, otherwise i'd jump on it.
