Default New side blades on older Macan

Does anyone know if the new Macan side blades with the fins will fit on the old Macan doors?

The body style didn't change for the actual body, so I don't see why they wouldn't fit.

I have done this. Had painted body colour blades and wanted black, so put 2024 blades on a 2019 Macan. No issues at all with the changeover.

I purchased genuine Porsche blades from Suncoast. Cost around $1k.

Yikes! But if you want them to last it's probably the right call. What's the process like for removing and replacing?

The 'right' way is to remove the interior door trim panels and then remove the side blades, being able to see what you're doing once the interior trim panel is off, in removing the blade clips from the holes in the door.

It is however quite feasible to remove the blades (held on by tape and clips) without removing the interior trim, and without breaking the blade panel clips that position the blade on the door.

Wouldn't it be cheaper and much easier to have an auto body shop paint them? Or even do it yourself...worst case then replace them if it look crappy

I have no experience with Plasti Dip but have read up on it somewhat. Just wondering if it's worth a try to see if it might work.

I would think that having the existing blades wrapped would be a fine option too, to simply change the color, but the upgrade that @whitepark did is more significant and looks really sharp.

If you mask it off well (go way around so there is no overspray) you can buy spray cans of paint that is made for plastics...and as I said....you an always re paint it or replace them
IMPORTANT Be sure to do a proper prep before you paint
