Little nagging issues keep showing up

I’m only 2.5 months into my Macan ownership after 5 years of a Cayenne, and I’m starting to miss it. In just the last couple of days 2 things have popped up that bug the crap out of me. I use my CarPlay 100% of the time when driving and I have now have had the CarPlay just randomly seem to disconnect communication with the PCM and the only solution was to unplug my iPhone and plug it back in and then wait the usual 30 +/- seconds for it to reconnect. Not the end of the world but the frequency with which it occurs is concerning.
The second thing I have found is that there is a very thin painted edge along the bottom of the rear glass that the clear coat is peeling. This is only this thin strip between the rubber and where the metal then bends and goes almost vertical. It seems like this thin painted part either didn’t get properly prepared before the clear coat was applied and it is now lifting from the base coat. I at first thought that this was just dirt until I took a closer look and saw that it was actually the clear coat delaminating. I am actually able to scrape it off with very little effort and it is like this all the way across the back. Once it makes the bend in the metal it is fine.
Anyone else ever experience either of these issues?

My 2024 takes long time to connect wired (or wireless) much longer than my wife's BMW. it's def. annoying but wired CarPlay issue, it's often cable issue. Disconnection issue does happen but it's maybe once in a month or so on my end so it's not a big deal.
I learned that from my 2018 911. Try to change your cable first to see if that helps. I used to use all Apple cables but now I use Anker brand cables. They seem to make the best cable these days. ( )

Hey guys, quick question: Does my '22 GTS have the nav I have to pay a subscription fee, or not? It's working now, and it's almost 2 years old, so I'm hoping it does not. However, the previous owner could have paid for that, so just want to know. I wouldn't renew it, so just curious if it's going to cut off at some point or not. XM is still working too, but in that case, I'm expecting it to cut off at any time. Anyway, my new upcoming '24 Cayman would have subscription Nav, so didn't pay $2,400 for Porsche Connect. No way I'd pay even more money to Porsche for that; it's insulting. Fortunately, I think it should have CarPlay, which would be a perfectly acceptable alternative. I don't use it now, but will have to with that car. No biggie though. Thanks guys.

Well, at least on my upcoming '24 Cayman, navigation is a subscription option after 1 year, even after having to pay $2,400 for Porsche Connect, which includes navigation. In other words, you cannot get navigation unless you specify Porsche Connect, and pay for nav. Porsche connect also gives you the option to buy HotSpot Wi-Fi, but I'd never pay $2,400 just for that, when I'd never use it. I'd use nav, but I can get used to using CarPlay as a substitute, with either Goggle maps or Waze, which are better than factory navs anyway. At some point Porsche switched to subscription nav; I just want to know when. Hopefully it was '23, so my GTS will always have nav. Thank you for your input.
