Default What is the preferred suspension for a new GTS, Air or not?

Hey guys,

A little confused about the suspension option in the Macan GTS. Is there a height adjustable air suspension option? If so, what is the preferred set-up? What is everyone ordering and liking better?

Thanks

So, this is the option I'm speaking of....just found it. So my question is, without Adaptive Air Suspension, does the GTS still have air suspension? And which one is preferred?

Thanks

Adaptive Air Suspension incl. Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) (Raised 10 mm)

What you're getting with this no cost option is the same air suspension you can option on a base or S model. That is, the GTS standard air suspension the same as base and S air suspension but lowered.

I stuck with the standard (lowered) air suspension on my GTS. The GTS is the sportiest model, why wouldn't you want to go with the sportiest suspension??

So, I should just stick to the standard air suspension that comes on every new GTS? Don't do the PASM?

Question #1; YES.
Question #2: The standard air suspension on all GTS vehicles includes PASM.

Porsche really made it confusing. It looks like you have to check the box to get the air suspension but stock is lowered air sus + PASM and check box is for taller air sus + PASM.

The air suspension settings on my 22 GTS are (1) lowered (red LED lit on center console); std (LED off); and OFF Road (center console LED; higher). In addition, Sport and Sport+ tuning also lowers the suspension as a function of road speed, but I am not sure if this is lower than the lowered setting on the console.

I think the low in the console is the lowest it gets. I set it up in 'low' on individual mode, along with 'sport' engine, and 'comfort' shocks (no LEDs lit). It's definitely firmer than the Sport Edition was, but I like it.

That no cost option is a trap for Porsche newbies. While I can understand why some may want to raise their low ground clearance sports car 911 or 718 GTS 10mm higher, it makes zero sense for this to be offered or chosen on a higher ground clearance CUV Macan where the air suspension can raise the vehicle more at the touch of a button. This option was not available for the GTS earlier on but apparently it was available on the Turbo but I still don't know what the use case for choosing this would be.

My guess is a softer ride, which some folks (especially women, if my wife is any indication. Ha ha) might prefer. But the better question is how much better the ride is with +10 PASM. When I was researching Macan GTSs, believe it or not, most had that +10 PASM option, which I didn't like. Fortunately, the one that had almost everything I wanted (except the hitch, which is a rare option), didn't have that, so I was happy.

Although I'm sure most women would be able to tell the difference in 10mm (0.4") for many other things LOL, I highly doubt any gender would notice the difference in ride softness. If anything, it might contribute to slightly more body roll due to the ever slight increase in center of gravity which I would consider to be worse for comfort when cornering but I know many go into a Macan as their first Porsche and their "rides gud" standards might be based on a Lexus.

I have the raised 10mm version. Question for those of you with the lower version: Does your vehicle "auto level" when getting in and out of the car?
