Two code scanners I have bought over the last week have failed me. One was an upgrade of an Autel MaxiAP AP200 called Autel AP2500. The other was an offbeat that promised all cars. This time I am trying an Autel MaxiAP AP200 that the person on the Facebook Macan owners club promises me will work. Putting the battery in was easy. Registering it has been impossible to date.

Supposedly the Autel AP200 coders only go up to year 2017. The AP2500 claims it has battery registration for cars up to 2024 but I’m not sure if that includes Porsche.

The icarsoft POR v3.0 & 2.0 can do it. Might have to massage the model # and serial number inputs to get it to register though.

With iCarsoft, you have to precisely input 11 numbers for the part number (I used Porsche's), and 15 for the serial #. After knowing that, piece of cake. It took me a while to figure that out, so saving the gang some lost time, and frustration. Ha ha.

AP2500 does NOT include Porsche, that is why I sent it back.
