Yes, check your thread on Macan Forum:

The Euro Impulse **** is essentially the same design, with further refined and improved proportions. There are definitely benefits to OE parts but what attracted me to the aftermarket was that it took the essence of the GT4 **** (that I was on the fence about) and applied it to better fit the Macan interior.

the aftermarket one with perforated leather looks amazing, but I think I'm going to spend $123 more to get the OEM GT4 RS shifter.

The price for the aftermarket **** is significant, mine was much cheaper initially, so I don't blame you for taking that perspective when comparing to an OE part. If the lettering on the GT4 shifter wasn't yellow, I would have gone for it, otherwise, the leather version looks pretty good.

another issue is the OE RS shifter shift in different direction compares to our Macan (forward/downshift and backward/upshift),
it could cause some confusion

Do they make anything for a 22 GTS? My shifter and surround look entirely different than what's on the website. Was looking at the DB Carbon all CF shift **** but it costs nearly 1K.

[QUOTE=///Bruce;19496108]To my knowledge it’s the only EV that has a two speed transmission… Anyone reading this of my generation remember the 2-speed automatic transmission on a 64 Chevrolet Impala? Sorry. I’m carbon dating myself here.
[QUOTE]
I had a 67 Impala with a 327 and a 2 speed Powerglide. Those transmissions were widely used in drag racing. Somewhat modified, of course.

Here is an OE CF one that would work-

These are only for 95b.1, 95b.2 and the various 991 and 718 iterations that use this style.

Have that one in the car already. Came with the OEM CF trim package. DB Carbon has an all CF unit (had one in my 991.2 Carrera), but as I said, its over $900.

Thank you! One thing I just realized is that the design is based on the current 992.1 manual shifter, its nearly identical. I think thats a nice touch and it really does feel great when shifting, I find myself manually shfting with this more than the paddles, since its a novelty for me.
A couple other things I that may be helpful for anyone using this:
1. When screwing the **** into the collar base to secure it to the boot and align it, you need to tighten the collar with a vice grip or pair of pliers. Hand tightened, it will loosen up in a day and you will need to pull the boot and tighten it again. It did that to me twice before I truly cranked it down with a vice-grip.
2. When shifting in or out of P or R, its easiest to depress the top button with the middle of your thumb / the middle knuckle to apply a light amount of depression to the button. It's different than the trigger on the OE ****, but was much easier to use once I stopped trying to depress the button with the tip of my thumb.

Thanks, I thought that request was a joke!
For an update, mine is holding up very well. I find myself shifting with this **** more, in manual mode, out of pure enjoyment.
One caution though, I brought my vehicle in for a tire change at a high-end/exotic indy shop and the tech who drove it managed to loosen the ****. Its been super solid while I used it but a pair of gorilla hands in the wrong direciton can loosen it apparently. A 5 minute fix but still a pain and a future thing to worry about with shop visits. I tightened it extra tight, so maybe that fixes it for good.
