Default PSE Valves Always Open - Electronic Valve Simulator

Recently picked up a 2024 Macan GTS which comes standard with PSE. I am looking for more volume and drama in the exhaust and wanted to see if anyone had experience with the Electronic Value Simulators that keep the exhaust valves "always open"
Here is a set offered by Flat 6:

Flat 6 Motorsports - 4 Pin Electronic Valve Simulator (Macan 95B.2/95B

Is it worth the upgrade with the PSE system? Appreciate the input.

Why spend the money when all you have to do is push a button on the center consol??
If you want more sound, you'll have to go for an aftermarket exhaust system.

I came from a GT4 and GT3RS, this is my first macan, and on those cars the valves don't stay open all the time. Only at startup and above certain RPM. I am assuming this is the same with the Macan PSE???

Unfortunately, I've never driven a Porsche GT car. However, on my '22 Macan GTS all you have to do is push the button on the consol and/or put it in sport or sport+ mode to activate PSE. It would also help to read the manual, and all will be revealed.

Pressing the exhaust button on the console does not keep the valves open at all times. This has been my experience with all 5 porsche vehicles i have owned. Thats why there have been numerous hacks and external control modules to fully control the valves The manual tells you nothing of exhaust valve behavior factory programed into the vehicle.

Thanks for your help though...

I guess I'm not sure what your objective is. Good hunting though...

It says it can also be used with non PSE 95B engines. Alas doesn't seem like they show any audio/video on their website

Mine came with the PSE. There are times when on long trips even that volume will cause me to turn it off. To each their own ears.

The newer Macan (23+) still closes the valves between 1-4K RPM.

It is not, it can theoretically be tuned but PIWIS doesn't offer the option.

Thank you for confirmation and clarification. Any videos to demonstrate the differences of the valve simulator?
