I had noticed my Macan struggled a little in lower gears the past year or so and had alerted the dealership a couple of times to check it out but was told all was in order. Come to find (through reading threads on this platform) there was a transfer case issue on many Macan's and Porsche extended warranty work for replacement of TC to 7 years.
I was never notified of this warranty extension either though Porsche USA or the service manager (I'm the only owner of this car since I bought it in 2016). I didn't even know what a transfer case was until I started doing my own research. My 7 years came up in Oct 2023. January 2024 the shop mechanic says that my car sounds like it needs a transfer case replacement. Porsche USA won't honor a consideration since I'm now 4 months over the 7 year extension period. This is so frustrating and feels so misleading and wrong. Especially since I made the dealership aware of my concerns and if they had taken me seriously I would have been under warranty. Has anyone else had this type of issue and was able to find a way to have Porsche stand up and do the right thing and cover the repair cost? I've called Porsche USA a few times and only hit brick walls. How are they allowed to get away with this lack of integrity and transparency?!

If you have records that show you noticed and reported problems related to the transfer case while you were still under warranty, I think you should have a case that Porsche should undertake the repair under warranty. Just because they opted not to repair the fault previously does not relieve them of their obligation, assuming the symptons you reported earlier are indicative of a bad transfer case and not another problem.
I agree with DHL. You should have a documented paper trail of your issues and complaints. I don't know how the process actually works with Porsche USA but I suggest sending emails detailing everything. That way you have a record of communications. It looks like phone calls aren't going to work.
Agree with above. Just before my warranty was due to expire, I had a warning light pop up. I took it to the dealer, and they reset the code saying it was either a valve issue or just a fluke. They documented this on the work order and said that if further work was required, they'd cover it even though the warranty had expired.
OBTW, two years later the issue never materialized again.
