I bought my 23 base 6 weeks ago and every time I drive it I wonder why I have an ugly and cheap looking decal/sticker on my expensive car's dash. Any help explaining this would be most welcome. Am I missing something?
1.) Why would Porsche warn you about driving a 4 cyl. SUV over 150 mph? (No other Manufacturer does that that I know of).
2.) Does anybody else remove it?
3.) Just peel it off?
4.) What in the hell is M&S???
I don't want to just rip it off to find out it has to be there for some reason I'm not aware of.
I think it's tire speed limit. I don't know the meaning of M&S but it's easy peel off without leaving any residues. Just slowly remove it with your finger. I just got 24 T and removed it after searching it in the forum.
The Porsche lawyers make them put the sticker on....same lawyers who require the airbag warning labels........
Take the sticker off, and dispose of properly...
Perhaps it may go without saying, when you remove that sticker, you should take extra care to avoid scratching the piano black plastic that it's mounted on. Very easily scratched.
UPDATE: With all the advice I received here I was able to go out to my garage and rip that little thing off my beautiful dash. No damage done! It's really stuck on there.
Thanks for everybody's advice. HM

Your tires have a speed rating of "V" that equates to a max sustained velocity of 240km/h or 149mph while your car has a max velocity of something higher. If your car came with "summer" performance tires, ("Y" rating = 186mph) that little sticker wouldn't be there. For further discussion on tire speed ratings, go to Tire Rack's web site.
Too much noise around nothing. The stickers can be peeled off very easily and Porsche has to do that to be on the safe side. You don't see that with other cars because they either don't go that fast or don't come with all season tires. I peeled off mine with no issues whatsoever.

I have a 22 GTS and have the same sticker. Has nothing to do with the car, only a warning that Mud and Snow tires have a speed limit of 150 MPH no matter what vehicle they are on (not that anyone would go that fast on snow tires, except perhaps some places in the EU). As irritating as the stickers on the sun visors.
From what I understand this is a regulatory thing, tire shops aren't allowed to mount wheels to a vehicle that are lower than their actual normal speed rating.
