I fitted the ISUDAR Chinese CarPlay device cost £182 to my PCM 3.1. No soldering but you need to be "useful" when it comes to pulling trim off the dash and pulling the PCM unit to bits. YouTube is your friend . quite a few videos and units that work in a similar way. I also fitted front and rear camera. All work perfectly but a broke some grill trim that's not noticeable now.

Well, all I can tell you is that he had to drive my computer remotely while it was hooked up to my USB c port in the console. Took around 40 minutes and from my point of view required lots and lots, did I say lots, of coding on his part. But good luck in your endeavors.
