Default Macan GTS pre and post 2020?

Hi all, I am in the market looking for a Macan GTS, based on my preliminary research I heard the exhaust are different after 2018, but it seems to me the new car looks slicker.

For anyone looked into them, I wonder if there are any key differentiator going for pre or post 2020? i.e. like cayman the split was quite clear due to the engine

To throw more questions into this, would it worth me considering an older Cayenne GTS like 2016 (I notice they only have V6???)

Cheers

Well, for starters, the 2020+ Macan S is basically what the pre-2020 GTS was... and the 2020+ GTS is basically what the pre-2020 Turbo was. I couldn't justify the price difference between the S and GTS when I got my '23 a few months ago. The S is everything I need!

Thanks my lord! It is almost like Mclaren 540C's sport exhaust is the base exhaust for 570s, pricing gimmicks

Where Porsche used to only excel at engineering sports cars, they've graduated to being the world's experts at extracting the maximum amount of cash from buyers. They've taken it to the level of an art form.

The greed that they exhibit is beyond shameful.

2018 was the last year for the 3.0 V6. In 2019 they went to the 2.9 V6.

Interior update was in 2022.

2018 has the original dual taillights. The current taillight bar started in 2019 which remains red until I think 2021 when it switched to clear (could be wrong on the year).

Front end lower bumper intake area changed in 2022 for the GTS it goes to all black w/ no painted area.

Engine largely the same 2019-present with some tuning changes.

2019 was the biggest refresh. 2022 was the next refresh which was more minor.

I believe 2019 or 2020 was the last year you could get headlight washers or PCCB brakes on the Macan in the USA.

2018 and 2023. Both very good. 50K miles on the 2018, and still very solid. 2023 more refined and a little sportier driving.
