Body Drain Clean?
My dealer "strongly recommended" this at our 20k. But my wife and I both work from home, so it's garaged 95% of the time. I wouldn't think there's a ton of opportunity for gunk to build up. We DID have a sunroof drain clog on our VW Tiguan years and years ago, so I know it's a pain if it does happen. Just curious:
1) Anyone attempt this themselves (didn't see anything in the DIY section)?
2) Anyone actually opt to pay the dealer to do it?
3) Anyone ever have any issues with a drain clogging?

1. open the sliding roof
2. pour a cup of water into each front corner of the sliding roof track gutter.
3. Observe water dribbling on the floor near the front lower control arm.
4. Pour 3-4 cups of water along the length of the windshield base near the wiper park area.
5. observe water dribbling on the floor somewhere under the car.
6. Get a coffee and smile inwardly to yourself, knowing you saved a couple of hundred $.

2019 Macan:
Had some dampness in passenger footwell... noticed when cleaning mat.
tested that corner of sunroof w water cup and saw no dripping out bottom wheel well area.
tried to clear myself but ultimately wheel needs to come off to get behind plastic wheel well lining.
Took to local Indy garage guy....
As soon as drain port was visible, the “ trapdoor” was fingered open ( pushed) and water FLOWED OUT!!!
must have gotten jammed...
Garage guy then put something in place that keeps port door opened permanently .
cost $75

^well done! There is a valve thingy at the bottom of the sunroof drain tubes that can get blocked or stuck. Some car companies use a simple soft molded rubber membrane-type valve which has less blockage. I think VAG/Porsche might use a plastic valve attached to the hose which can plug. Need to find a photo of one.
