Coolant leak at expansion tank
This coolant leak started a couple of days ago. It's actually a pretty significant leak, the reason I found it is because I smelled the burnt coolant off the exhaust when I parked in the garage. I think it's a slow leak in the video because the engine has cooled off a bit. Thoughts on what to do here? Should I just try to replace the hose?

Is it necessary to drain the coolant before replacing this tank? Service manual says to drain coolant, but the tank seems pretty high up in the engine bay?

funny timing, at around 3k miles since my last oil change my macan gave the oil quart low message. no big deal, these are just porsche turbo things.
i went to top up oil and noticed coolant residue everywhere in the engine bay. mine is cracked at the inlet barb as well.
having been around VAG vehicles a while, i gather these coolant expansion tanks eventually fail after some time.

My Macan GTS has ALWAYS smelled like antifreeze after a drive. My dealer covers his eyes and ears and swears there is no problem. And I swear at them under my breath every time I top off the fluid. This has gone on for years.
